Another night launch March 11 at 9:20 PM (Discovery)
Last night they had a beautiful night launch of a Delta rocket. It was really cool-even from our front yard in South Brevard County. You could see all the boosters glowing as they came off the vehicle and fell.
If you are in Central Florida for the week, the closer you are to the launch the more spectacular it will be. They are definitely worth the traffic jam after launch.
You don't need a ticket unless you do a tour group type viewing, just pick a beach, the bank of the river, or a park in Titusville. Get there early to get a spot to park( by 6PM). Bring food and drinks and something to sit on and enjoy the evening out under the stars. Usually you will meet lots of people and have a blast while waiting for the launch.
You will be able to see it from the parks in Orlando but you won't experience the ground rumbling etc. .
