Shredding the Gnar with Magic Friends

I'm a newborn baby photographer. :)

Well, thank God you're talented, or you'd be screwed six ways to Sunday. My own personal babies (of which I have two) are hell to photograph. It makes me crazy that no one can capture their magnificence on film, though I do keep in mind that the common denominator in all the bad pics are my rotten kids.

Most of them are ok to photograph, but there are the really fussy ones that are extremely difficult. Especially when moms don't use pacifiers (which I can totally understand, but it makes it very hard to calm them down for the pictures.)

And your kids aren't rotten.

Did I mention we went away this weekend FINALLY to see Marc's grandmother??

Not fun, I tell ya. Nothing more entertaining than sitting around staring at each other all day, interspersed with yanking Anastasia off the myriad of delicate, fragile, eye level antiques strewn around the place.

Oh, and sleeping on the floor. That was fun.

Yes they are too. But thanks for being nice!

I am pro-paci, myself. My kids never agreed.

Well you know that old saying...(I'm assuming you do, because I can't recall it)

Drama from such a wee girl? No way. :p

Drama is her middle name lately.

I was wiping her hands clean from dinner the other day, and I noticed that she had a scratch (scabbed over, mind you) on her hand that I didn't see before. I tell her, "Oh, you got a boo-boo!"

Cue hysterics.

"Hey Anastasia!! Wanna do ___"

"NO!"

"What about ____"

"No!"

lather. rinse. repeat.

Ugh...hopefully this will past soon

Oh, and having to sit in on the "Nan needs an advanced directive and we need to force one upon her, because she IS 93 and all" conversation was WAY fun.

I'm sure that was a great time. We need to have those conversation about WHF's grandparents though.

She's just so stubborn about it, and denying that she's ever going to be in that kind of situation, despite just going under major surgery. And they're forcing it upon her, and she refuses to do anything to change her circumstances, and she gets angry at them all. It's tough to witness, especially when you feel so out of place there.

Trust me. I feel you completely. I know exactly what you're going through...but THEIR family don't want to do anything about it...they don't want to deal with it....his grandparents want to fight it so badly.

Yea, I hate when old people act like they have a choice.

Which is not a slam on anyone, please mind. I personally have not confronted this decision yet, but...if they took care of y'all? Maybe you could take care of them.
