Show Your Teeth: Maelstrom or Frozen Overlay?

I thought this should be put out there. Everybody has heard the rumors that Disney is actively looking into closing Maelstrom and inserting Frozen characters and scenery. So my question to the members of this forum is "which ride should be in Epcot a year from now and further on?" The classic, original, cultural Norway attraction, or the IP induced frolic through Arendelle? Please discuss below and vote above.

The only way I'm ok with the Frozen addition is if it is characters explaining actual Norwegian culture, rather than a silly frolic in the snow with Olaf. And even then I wouldn't like it.

Maelstrom... Frozen... Unless it lowers the price of beer during Food & Wine, I don't think I care. I'm still not going to stand in line to ride it.

Minor updates for Maelstrom - gut the movie section and make it a interactive kid zone. Rather than a solo Frozen Ride, just do a "princess" dark ride in MK. Throw them all in there!- with a decent script and some great AA's it could be superb

I think it should stay Maelstrom but maybe add Anna and Elsa to Akershus.

I absolutely adore Frozen, but Norway is Norway, not Arendelle. Leave Maelstrom alone.

I want Maelstrom to stay the same, but I almost want it to happen for the sole reason that Epcot can get SOME sort of update...I want something new that will make me want to visit, but probably not if it means me writing a very nasty review

Yey im the only vote for frozen lol but it has to be done well as I still love Norway as it is, they should get rid of the film after hardly anyone stays there

In that news clip though, they said it was because it was replaced with a Frozen sequence, which isn't true, so if they knew that would they want it gone? Or is it because it is so outdated?

If they turn Norway into a fictitious country, where do they draw the line? Is the rest of World Showcase then subject to converting real countries into fake ones, and showcasing places that don't exist?

Exactly, it wont make sense on any fronts. All it does is make little girls upset when they grow up and take geography and find out that Arendelle isn't a real country. I'm not sure yet though whether or not the whole thing being converted to toons I would be ok with also though, but maybe if they market it the right way.

As big as Frozen is, it too will pass and will never be as timeless as Maelstrom. If they HAVE to do a Frozen ride, it should be a new attraction, elsewhere. They don't always have to take something great away to ruin it with a movie theme attraction. That is lazy.

No, no more characters in EPCOT. Please. I've posted before about my personal feelings about Nemo in the LS and I just think the whole slap an IP or character onto an existing attraction in a place where that was NEVER intended is bad show. Just one guys opinion.

because its so outdated, I can tell you they are utterly embarassed by it and want it gone.

Considering Frozen didn't actually take place in Norway I don't get it. And when Frozen isn't popular in 5 years, what then? Change it back?
