We will be starting a collection of at least 2-4 ornaments per trip.

Finally had the chance to take some pics of my "official" Disney tree. The one that has actual Disney ornaments on it!

Some favorite Hallmark Disney ornaments:

This one clips on to a light, and the fireplace (that's not quite visible at this angle) seems to glow. I usually clip it on to a yellow light, making for a nice romantic glow for M&M. This year, however, DH hung this one and clipped it to a red light, so it looks like M&M are smooching in front of the fires of hell. Thanks, honey!! :p

This one may be my absolute favorite. Another "clip to a light", it's Cinderella's castle as seen in the animated feature. I used to love to clip it to a pink bulb, but the new light sets don't have pink, so now it's blue. Here it is unlit, and lit up.

My other favorite castle. This one also has a light clip inside of it, but only the lower windows glow, most noticeably the curved ballroom windows.

Santa Mickey & Pluto. Can't explain why I like this one so much, but I do.

Wall-E and Eve. I love, love that movie:

Series of ornaments depicting the Fab as a marching band:

The denizens of the 100 Acre Wood hang out together on the tree:

Eeyore is there, too, just out of frame to the top--couldn't fit him in the photo. There are a number of other Poohs and Tiggers scattered around the tree.

Another favorite movie of mine is represented by these two:

Next post will show some of the ornaments we've bought in the parks or from the Disney Store.

Some favorite ornaments purchased from Disney:

This is one of those flat porcelain discs. I love the image of Santa Mickey flying over the castle.

This one's popular with kids of all ages. You'll notice two buttons on top. One turns on the lights inside the cars, the other plays a holiday greeting.

I bake, so I had to get this one, Cinderella's Castle as gingerbread house:

Here are two shots of the tree itself. It's set on a rotating base, which is why the Tinkerbell topper is facing forward in one shot, and away from the camera in the other. There are a LOT of ornaments on this tree. Here at WDWMagic this is not perceived as a problem. Most visitors to my house think we're crazy.

If anyone is wondering why the lower branches are undecorated, we have three cats. They view Christmas trees as shopping malls for new toys, so we have to try to not have any ornaments within easy reach. Otherwise, we find them in little piles under various tables throughout the house.

I posted an annual look at the tree. Here's the Disney highlights:

ChristmasTree2012030.jpg

I have unofficially dubbed our 2012 Disney World trip our “Very Princess Trip”. Kara in particular has been going through a fascination with princesses. Rapunzel is a favorite of both of the girls. So last year I bought this ornament to round out our princess collection. Let me tell you, Rapunzel stuff was really hard to come by last Christmas. I imagine now that everyone has had some time to add her to their collections, she is easier to find.

Last year, I spent quite a bit at the Disney Store. My family will be shocked to learn this, I am sure. I bring this up because this ornament was part of a promotion the chain ran last year. Once you spent a certain amount (which I exceeded by far), you got a pair of Mickey and Minnie ornaments for a low price (don’t ask what constitutes a “low price” at the Disney Store – I don’t remember.)

ChristmasTree2012053.jpg

Here’s the matching Minnie Mouse. We practically have an entire tree worth of Mickey and Minnie ornaments by this point. So I don’t seek them out. But I find it hard to resist Disney Store promotions.

ChristmasTree2012049.jpg

Speaking of Mickey, I bought Kara this Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ornament last year. I liked it because it added Goofy and Donald into the mix. So yes, it’s more Mickey. But it also gets two of our favorite supporting characters up on the tree.

ChristmasTree2012052.jpg

On our 2010 trip to Disney World, Josie became suddenly and inexplicably interested in Jessie from the Toy Story movies. We had an ornament of Jessie and Woody previously. But I couldn’t pass up this cute one of Jessie riding Bullseye. Josie is out of her Jessie phase, but she’ll always be a sentimental favorite based on that year or so that she was Josie’s favorite.
ChristmasTree2012040.jpg

Josie was the Cheshire Cat for Halloween last year. Since then the smiling feline has become another family favorite. So when I saw this ornament, I had to add him to out tree.

ChristmasTree2012039.jpg

Speaking of favorites, Chip and Dale have been family faves since they made a fuss over Josie on her first trip to Disney World. Last year, I featured the chipmunks hanging on to a peanut. This year, they are dressed for the holidays.

I got these Vinylmations from one of the outlet malls in one of the stores where they sell last years stock. I got 5 vinylmations for $10. Not a bad saving considnering they were $12.99 each.

And they all smell like what they are holding!

And finally, my Disney Treasure, Jiminy, with a gift for meee!

I havent put my tree up yet, and I know I don't have any 'WDW' decorations but I do have some Disney ones, and I just bought the best tree topper from the Disney Store, so I will share!
I've got both - some from visits to WDW but quite a few disney store discs - I get them every year but need to look for the ones I am missing. I may share a photo - but it has lots of other ornaments too.

Very nice. I'd like to see this thread pick up some steam again. I'll have to make time to snap some pics of my tree this year.
