Should we still not worry?

Why can't you be pro-Disney and pro-Universal?

It's like being Pro-Hatfield and Pro-McCoy, Pro-RedSox and Pro-Yankees, Pro-Pepsi and Pro-Coke.

Oddly enough, I have been viewing theme park related message boards since 1997, and in the first few years, there was no arguments about Universal vs. Disney. It was kinda like California. Over there, they're separate entities and people don't talk about them in the same way as here.

IOA changed the game, suddenly as soon as people heard how immersive and amazing it is, the rivalry really started and people took sides.

I don't take sides, I've WORKED for both companies, I've been impressed by both companies, 20 years ago and recently, however, it seems like both have been competing on a B- or C+ grade scale in some respects.

They both should be A+ experiences and competing on the highest level possible, and we should be incredibly excited about what is coming next. Instead we still wonder if either company will follow up one success with a failure, a great refurb or a horrid one

I think (notice IMO) It's because no one viewed Uni as a multi day experience that Disney had. When IOA came it made people realize there's something over there that's just as interesting as Disney. That's what started this rivalry because people started questioning Disney about their value since IOA has some great stuff. Some of which is better than offered at WDW.

Just my 2 cents.
