Lucky to be coming to WDW this August from UK- already have Cali Grill and Jiko on our signature list - need a third - already done Narcossees, Yachtsman, Le Cellier. Staying at WL but reviews not altogether enthusiastic for AP - where would you go ? Thanks Jonathan

It wasn't my favorite signature restaurant in food or atmosphere, but since you've already got so many of them down (which is awesome!) I'd say it's worth the try. It's quiet, peaceful, food is fresh, and sort of like a hidden gem right in your neighborhood. Also the cobbler for dessert was pretty amazing!

We didn't eat at Artist Point, but we did eat at Territory Lounge which had some of the apps.. we ordered a few of them and all were great!

I think the menu looks good and would definitely do it on an adult trip if staying at WL.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
I love Artist Point! Their mushroom soup is amazing.

Agree! That soup is amazing! They printed out the recipe for us and it's like 3 pages long!! So needless to say we never tried making it. Lol. I think I lost it in the flood along with our personalized menus they did for us that trip. Bummer. :( We have gone back numerous times and always enjoy it. ;)

Our family doesn’t like Artist Point, we tried it twice and were disappointed twice, that is just my opinion. For another signature we prefer Citrico’s or Hollywood Brown Derby. If you are beef eaters you may wish to try Shula’s.

Like many Disney places this place is up and down.... The last two times it was pretty poor... It's off our list... Much better options...

Ji yourself! I've had two meals at Artist Point, about 7 or 8 years apart. The first one was incredible, while the 2nd one was disappointing. It's a beautiful property, with windows that look out over Bay Lake. Take a look at the menu and decide for yourself.

AP used to be great, then it went down hill, then it came back up. That was about 2 years ago. I have not been back there since. When it was in it's good phases, it was one of my favorite restaruants at WDW. As I said, I have not been back in 2 years, but thats not because I have been avoiding it, I just have not got over there.

You are going in August, so this does not apply, but AP is one of the few places in the Southeast USA that gets a steady supply of Copper River Salmon when it is in season ( Mid May through June). Copper River Salmon is wild caught salmon from the Copper River in Alaska. It has a very short season and is very perishable, but if you like salmon, it is nothing like farm raised. You pay extra for it, but it is worth it. Of course you will be going too late to be able to get it, but for anyone who like salmon and is there when it is in season,

I had a pretty forgettable experience last year there. Everything was disappointing from the service to the food. And this was not on the scale of an expensive restaurant where you tend to judge a little tougher. This was just bad. Cheap, expensive, doesn't matter.

Jiko is fantastic. That's a great choice. Someone mentioned Brown Derby. That's also a good choice. Personally, I'm a big fan of Bluezoo. It's very expensive and not on any plans, but the food is very local and seafood-oriented. Coming from the UK, you might want to try a restaurant that is somewhat region-specific to Orlando.

Artist Point was always one of my favorite places, but I have not eaten there since October 2012 so not sure if things have changed. Their filet was amazing as well as their cobbler. I would say try it since you've eaten at most of the other signatures on property. Have a great time!

Flying Fish. They just reopened after a long refurb so the atmosphere is up to date and the menu was updated. We've been twice since the reopening and had great meals and overall experiences both times. Plus the Abracadabra lounge next door is a great way to start or end your meal plus if you time it right you can watch the fireworks from the boardwalk and catch the evening entertainment along the boardwalk itself.

My husband & I have eaten here about half a dozen times. About of the the times were outstanding, a couple were good, and the last time I was disappointed. The last time was several years ago. We're giving it another try in a couple of weeks. I will say that 4 out of the 6 timesI've been, I've ordered the mushroom soup. It has NEVER disappointed. (Including on my last visit when I didn't like my entree & ordered it to go as I was still hungry.). One of the best appetizers on property. If I knew I could get this in Territory Lounge, I'd make my husband take me there for drinks most trips just so I could order that soup.

I would say YES. My wife and I love to go there. We typically go later in the day to avoid some of the kids that are present in the early evening. In the late evening, the crowd is mostly mature adults. We have NEVER been disappointed with the menu choices or how the food has been prepared. We have also enjoyed their wine selection.

As with any review or opinion, I take them all with a grain of salt as things vary based on one's expectation, one's experience, and one's palette.
