Should they remake Episodes 4,5 and 6 of star wars?

Remake?

By the time, they re-made 1, 2, and 3; 4, 5 & 6 would be outdated in terms of SFX. Besides, Lucas has already downsized ILM and they have already moved into Skywalker Ranch instead of keeping their other location. The move was made at the completion of 6. There are no plans to have another one or to do any remakes (<~~that would be a huge mistake)

There's my 2 cents.

I think the timeline for post Ep. VI is:

Clone Palpatine retakes Coruscant, but is eventually defeated.

Thrawn brings together the remnants of the Imperial Fleet (and a cloned dark jedi) to fight the Republic.

Thrawn loses and then is banned from WDWmagic.com

How 'bout remaking Episodes I, II, and III with a new script and director? I think a lot of the wooden acting can be blamed on Lucas's script and direction.
Agreed.

Oh, and Hayden Christensen is just a horrible actor. Please. There is no way he could be the Darth Vader from Episode IV.

Watch Shattered Glass. Then, revise statement.

I'm sorry, Tom friggin' Hanks couldn't read that script without sounding like an idiot. "Sand is rough..."

I agree. Would be nice to see the old actors in Star Wars films again too. What are the chances of them being made?
With the lack of originally in Hollywood and box office problems, I could definitely see this happening one day; however, Mark Hamil, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford are pretty much done.

Sorry, but there is absolutely no chance that 4,5 & 6 will be remade or that there will be anymore. It is in Lucas' will, that these movies are never to be remade.

Agreed, the script is horrible. And guys, PLEASE don't use it as a model of how to talk to women. You will end up sad and alone

There was an interview some time last year were Lucas stated that he wants to do television, either a mini-series or a conventional tv series. The only thing he'll do with EP 4-6 is tweak them just like he did in 1997 and again when they went to dvd.

I dont get the same feel when I watch the older ones any more because of the new ones. What do you guys think?
I don't get the same feel when I watch the older ones - I find them entertaining with great characters and less lumber speaking the lines ;)

The only new Star Wars movies I would like would be:

1. Knights of the old republic
2. Episodes 7, 8 and 9

Lucas is working on a live action TV show that takes place after EP3 and before EP4. Also they have a animated series coming out as well.

In no way should they change the original 3 movies.
