Should I do concierge or the dining plan?

Hi, I've got a great opportunity to stay at either Poly or GF on the concierge floor (with a deep cast discount).

I know concierge has a light breakfast and afternoon/evening snacks, so would I be better off just paying cash for a few table service meals along with the concierge stuff?

Or should I stay in a standard room at Poly/GF (save a bit of $) and get the dining plan?

I would do concierge. It is a great oportunity to spoil myself. I am not a very big eater, so I can manage with counter service meals.

Would be far cheaper to do the dining plan. We had the dining plan last trip and I believe it is well worth it. A few examples. There were three of us, me and wife, and my son(4 at the time) The dining plan cost us 90 dollars a day. My bill at Tony's Town Square alone was 90 bucks. That covers the cost of the plan for that day in one meal. I also had counter service that day and snacks which amounted to another 30 bucks. So, for 90 dollars (plus tip) I saved 30 dollars a day. Also, Chef Mickey bill was nearly a hundred dollars a day, also. Those table service meals can easily add up to the cost of the dining plan at one sitting. I would get it. It allowed us to try restaurants we had never tried before and not worry about cost.
I guess if you eat light concierge would do. But if you plan to eat at a few table services, I would do dining. You will get value for it.

I really think it depends a lot on how much you really like to eat while on vacation. If you normally eat two or three full meals a day while on vacation, then the dining plan make sense.

I typically don't have an enormous appetite while touring the theme parks, so a light breakfast and a single meal is enough for me each day. My wife and I stayed at the Contemporary's 14th floor and had a great time. The morning offerings were plenty to get us going, and the nighttime snacks and appetizers were a nice way to end the day.

The concierge also keeps your room stocked with canned sodas and bottled water, which were also nice to have in the room in the evening or to have when walking out the door to head to the parks. Concierge service also included having our packages delivered right to the room, not the resort front desk. And private check in that completely bypasses the front desk is a lot nicer than standing in yet another line. Overall, it was the little things that made our stay on the concierge floor memorable. There are a lot of little details that are hard to put into bullet points but the advantages to staying on the concierge floor go way past what little bits of free food you'll get.

I've never done the conceirge level, so if you're able to do it at a cheaper rate, I'd say go for it! Might as well experience getting pampered for once! I'd then book a few table service meals at lunch time to save some money but still get to sit down and get waited on for a meal.

When we got married the cast member gave us a concierge level room (we were to have a courtyard view otherwise) with a view of the castle. It was great and what a way to be spoiled. Breakfast was plentiful and got us through to dinner, if we were back at the hotel at the time of the snacks in the afternoon, they would tide us over if we didn't have breakfast that morning or were going to have a very late dinner. They use to have the uncrustable sandwiches so we would grab 2 halves and some cookies and were good to go.

I say go and get spoiled with the concierge level, it was exciting when you got onto an elevator and then had to put your room key in to get to the top floor, the others in the elevator would look and say that is nice to get up there, wish we could. (little did they know we didn't pay a penny more for it )

We were upgraded to concierge at BC last year and had free dining. could do w/o the snacks on the dining plan because there was plenty of snacks at concierge. Now the question is how many times will you be back to the resort? We ended up spending more time at the resort enjoying concierge snacks.
