should I buy the 2009 guide?

The 2009 guide will be printing as we speak and ready to hit bookstands around September. So unless you collect each edition there is little point is purchasing a new guide as yours is only two years old.

Although LenTesta may disagree :D

The guides, particularly Passporter and the Unofficial Guide, are fun to read and in addition to helping when actually at WDW, they provide a source of Disney material to look at between trips.

im probably biased, but i get one every year. there ARE changes and Len and Bob are always coming up with new things to study and report back. take it from a girl who has sat in a hotel lobby for them timing people checking in!

I think it's safe to say that we all know so much being such big fans that we could make our own unofficial guides to WDW lol. Unless you like to collect them then that's a different story.

Book I've got is the 2007 one and Im planning on buying the 2009 version because of all the recent changes - Toy Story, Pirate Tutorial and stuff that I probably don't even realise yet!!

Plus, means I can give dad my 2007 Bible as I call it to look at and I will still have the up to date one!

I am also an owner of the 2007 Unofficial WDW bible.

Its always good to look at any new changes since the prior editions. I can't see myself purchasing one every year, but 2 years is enough of a gap.

I am looking forward to the Sept release with great anticipation.

There are plenty of people here who get the Birnbaum book for entertainment. Those that are serious about trip planning get the Unofficial Guide. I tend to get a new Unofficial Guide every couple of years. It's definitely the best of the WDW planning books.

It's usually released in mid-late August.

I get the book every couple of years, the unofficial guide is the way to go. I will be getting one this year just in time for my trip in Sept!!

Buy the book!

I buy the UG every year - there's plenty of new information in each edition. I ususally order my UG from Overstock.com. In the past few years, they'll had the new edition of the UG for a discount price and only charged $1 for S&H.

It's funny I was going to wait to get the 08 until I moved but now I am reminded that the 09 will be out in a bit over a month at the most. Wow where did the time go?

There are changes since 07 several that may have some impact on what you want to do, where to eat etc... I am purchasing the book and look forward to reading it. I use older versions in for my classes I teach.

I just pre-purchased the 2009 edition ... it will be shipped nexy month.

The most recent one I own is 2005. But the main reason I bought it was to gain access to the companion website. I was about to join that website for $7.95, but then figured I'd buy the book for an additional $8 (discounted price) ... I'd have the book AND free access to the website.
