Trip Report Shortest Retirement in History?

Justin Bieber lasted 2 weeks.

Tom Brady lasted 40 days.

I, Tuvalu, outlasted them both. Not by much, mind you. Yet if not for the encouragement of some forum friends - along with some unusual circumstances - you wouldn’t be reading this.

Unusual circumstances, you say?

Around Thanksgiving my beloved Woody learned his presence was required at a work conference. In Orlando. At Universal.
Just down the road from Walt Disney World.

Woody said I could accompany him if he drove (rather than flew) to Florida. And that we could leave a couple days early and have some Disney time together.

Well you don’t have to ask me twice!

I’d be on my own during the conference. Since the majority of Universal’s attractions don’t appeal to me, it didn’t make sense for me to buy Uni tickets when I could visit WDW for free with my AP. Being solo, I thought it might be fun to do a live trip report so y’all could be my virtual companions!

Turns out I won’t be alone while Woody is occupied after all. Some friends that you have seen in my previous TRs (and one you haven’t) have offered to play with me. I can’t wait!

The rain eventually slowed to sprinkles - after our ride on BTMRR!

Since we were already wet, how much worse could it get on Tiana?

It got worse. So much worse. Not necessarily from the big drop (although that didn’t help) but water effects inside the ride completely drenched us. Em read on the interwebs that those effects have recently been turned on. To maximum level.

You’ve been warned.

WOW, you did get drenched on Tiana's I probably won't mind it during the hot months we visit but during the cold months, not so much! So happy you're having so much fun with the family!

It is not nearly as hot and humid as last month which has been a blessing. Lots of fun is being had!

Ugh getting soaked in Splash/Tianas is never fun, at least for me. I hate having wet clothes especially shoes and pants.

I hate wet shoes too. The DLR version of splash was a one and done for me and I refuse to ride Kali River Rapids again(don’t get me started on the water rides at universal). I hope they turn the water effects back down on Tiana’s soon.

The only way I will ever ride Grizzly River Rapids again is if I stay at the Grand Californian. Then I will ride it multiple times in a row and immediately go change my clothes. But I'm too cheap to stay at the GC, so I guess I won't be riding it ever.

Em and I did just this - only we rode ONCE. We got drenched from head to toe. It was chilly day, we were freezing when we got off the ride and practically ran back to our room.

GRR is a one and done.
