Trip Report Shortest Retirement in History?

Justin Bieber lasted 2 weeks.

Tom Brady lasted 40 days.

I, Tuvalu, outlasted them both. Not by much, mind you. Yet if not for the encouragement of some forum friends - along with some unusual circumstances - you wouldn’t be reading this.

Unusual circumstances, you say?

Around Thanksgiving my beloved Woody learned his presence was required at a work conference. In Orlando. At Universal.
Just down the road from Walt Disney World.

Woody said I could accompany him if he drove (rather than flew) to Florida. And that we could leave a couple days early and have some Disney time together.

Well you don’t have to ask me twice!

I’d be on my own during the conference. Since the majority of Universal’s attractions don’t appeal to me, it didn’t make sense for me to buy Uni tickets when I could visit WDW for free with my AP. Being solo, I thought it might be fun to do a live trip report so y’all could be my virtual companions!

Turns out I won’t be alone while Woody is occupied after all. Some friends that you have seen in my previous TRs (and one you haven’t) have offered to play with me. I can’t wait!

We spent the afternoon/evening at the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.

There were rides.

There was food.

There was a Disco Inferno.

Lastly, there was artistry.

We have probably crossed paths several times this week! We also were in MK on Wednesday for a little bit and then Epcot,, Thursday MK all day, and then did Epcot today! Our Tiana’s BG was 34 on Thursday.

The monorail took us here.

After a transfer at the TTC of course.

We got to the WL bus stop just in time to see the Epcot bus leaving. Since the MK bus was in its slot, we boarded. Then we walked from MK to the Contemporary to ride the monorail.

It gave us the opportunity to see the area without walls from above.

The monorail spiel through here seriously needs updating. It mentions “Guardians of the Galaxy, the newest addition to Future World,” “the upcoming Play! Pavilion,” “the new Space 220 restaurant,” and “exciting new additions to the countries of World Showcase.”

Pathetic.

‘Twas our last day with the Tuva tribe. And it was a HOT one.

We got to experience the live Encanto show in a real feel temperature of 102 degrees protected only by the shade of a small umbrella. Kudos to whomever designed this and whomever signed off on this.

While everyone else Ran so far away, I covered every inch of Creations Shop multiple times while pushing a sleeping Tuvalad in his stroller.
