Thanks for the pics, but I had an observation:

I went to the parking lot last night to take a look, and they still haven't done anything with the lighting. I know it's still early in the refurb and all, but the general lavener-esque/plain yellow scheme remained. The crane stands out during the day, but couldn't they have done something for the night as well? Hopefully we'll see them start playing with the lights soon!

The public record posted in another thread says the permit expires 10/21/07. Not sure if I'm reading it correctly or not. Talking to the CMs at SSE, they have been told to tell guests that the ride will be open in December.

December? Is that a conservative estimate? I was under the impression it would be open by Mid November.

better be safe then sorry... dec say it opens in dec.. and claim part of the years of a millions of dreams we opened it early...

that, and remember test track, even with a referb its best to say it will open later if it is still on schedual.

delay SSE until next summer for all I care. Just please Disney make sure the attraction is SUPERIOR to what has come before. No cheap video projections, gimmicks, and lame "hipster" dialogue.

I totally agree with that!
I think it is smart that they are saying it opens in December.

Who knows... maybe they will have to just have soft opening for it in November to make sure all the touch screen stuff works correctly.

Permit expiration dates mean absolutely nothing, I wouldn't read anything into the date on the notice of commencement.
