I hate the hospital and I really hate the man in the lab!!!:fork::fork:
I always get my blood work done at DH's hospital because I can walk there, he can pull up the results for me, and they don't charge a copay because he works there.
It's a county hospital so of course things can be slow, but today was just ridiculous!!
I went to get my 1 hour glucose test today. For some reason my doctor wanted me to be fasting eventhough it is not necessary for this test. The last time I ate was at 7pm yesterday.
I got to the hospital around 9:45 and I just drank the stuff at 11:15. It took me about 1/2 hour to get through registration. I went over to the lab where the evil man said that they did it wrong and I had to go back to registration (he did this to me last time too and there was nothing wrong). I asked if I could drink the drink while the problem was fixed and of course he said no. I went back to registration where the woman said everything was correct. She said she would walk with me over to the lab and see if we could get it fixed. She told him that everything was right on her end and asked him "what can we do to help this patient." He said "i don't know, it's not my problem"
Jerk!!!
So it ended up taking 45 minutes and a supervisor to fix the problem. I am starving! I have a doctors appt at 12:30, so I'm basically going to have to run out of the lab and hurry to get to my appt on time. Hopefully I'll be able to find something that I can eat in the car on the way.

my best friend is trying to get me to take this girl's number... funny thing is it feels like her and I know each other EXTREMELY well, and have talked on the phone a few times, but we've never met, she lives in NY... and she's in love with him but he'll never feel that way towards her... so he's like trying to get me to call her...

and I told her on the phone I'd go to NY under one circumstance... she kisses me at midnight because there is no imagineable better way to start off my 2009 then with a kiss from such a beautiful being.

just wanted to clarify.
when i say we've talked on the phone a few times... like twice when I had some alcohol in me and we were talking about New Years plans (me and him were, he was going to NY)
and I told her on the phone I'd go to NY under one circumstance... she kisses me at midnight because there is no imagineable better way to start off my 2009 then with a kiss from such a beautiful being.

In all honestly, and all joking aside... I like don't really care that that much about it... I mean, worst that happens is it goes poorly, no big deal... I don't care.
BUT... with that said... I honestly feel sick to my stomach, I am frigging terrifiyingly nervous, I simply cannot control... I'm just like legit really really scared and nervous...
and it makes no sense...

you're right...if you don't care about the outcome, then you really shouldn't be so uptight about it.
I think it's that whole pressure you put on yourself. I understand the fear of calling people on the phone...but sometimes, you just have to do it. Hopefully, you can calm yourself down while you're on the phone enough to actually enjoy the conversation. That's what happens to me. I get nervous about the call, but then, as I'm talking, I realize it's not so bad and relax. Hopefully, that can happen to you too.
But don't put so much pressure on it if you could care less either way. It's just not worth it.

I know... it's just a whole entire new ball game out there for me. I mean I haven't been calling girls I barely even know to hangout since I was 15 years old... back then I used to get nervous... now it's girls who I REALLY don't know (since they aren't from my HS) and it's weird...
