I've already ordered one thing for you and Chrissy both :D - it should (hopefully) make you giggle a bit. Did going to Babies R Us give you any ideas about what kind of nursery theme you'll have?
I'm not really sure we're going to do much of a "theme", just maybe a general color scheme. I'm torn between light blue & brown (which I find so warm) and light green & brown (which I love and could keep my Chip & Dale picture in there :o)

That makes sense to me! *jumps up and down at the thought of shopping*

What I do know that I could use, and it's totally free!, is some courage & words of wisdom for raising a boy. I had a bit of a hormonal "worry-fest" last night when I was trying to fall asleep. :o I realized I don't know the first thing about what to do w/ a boy! I've got oodles of experience w/ girls, but boys are foreign territory for me.
Then it went to wondering how to raise a nice, loving, respectful boy. And then to how do I raise a good man. One who doesn't turn into a "Columbine kid or Scott Peterson" in the world. I think the whole idea of the responsiblity of "parenthood" beyond caring for a baby hit me hard. Then I forced myself to not think about it and fell asleep :lol:

:o *hangs head in shame*

Oh sweetie, you'll be great! You know why? Because YOU are a wonderful person, and you've got a great head on your shoulders! Parenthood is 99% common sense, and 1% the lessons you learned from your own childhood. IMO anyway. :shrug: :kiss:

ETA: I was as much in the dark about raising boys as you claim you are, and here I am seven years later...with a son who has the sweetest smile and orneriest grin. :D You take one day at a time and realize that while you have challenging times, you have also wonderful memories you are making. :kiss:

What she said. :animwink:

Proud moment: I was leaving school for lunchtime yesterday and Joel was lined up with his class for a restroom break. Well, he's always so hesitant when he sees me, like 'can I leave the line to hug my mom?' Which of course is fine and as he hugs me, he says, 'I love you mom'

:cry::cry: Just wow. :o

I can't help you much in regard to boys, but ...
The most important thing I can tell you starting out is to establish routine as soon as it is possible. Children thrive on it.
Other than that, raise him to be respectful, to be responsible for his actions and to be above all, kind.
And really, Stephie, you'll be fine. The good, caring person you are will turn into a good, caring mother. You can't miss. :kiss:

Susie, you said it perfectly.
Especially those last two...a child who is shown love will not be afraid to show it. So important.
