shipping options from disney world

my disneyworld honeymoon begins october 26. I am going home on november 4. Whenever i go to disneyland i purchase tons of souvenirs and stuff to decorate my apartment with. seeing as how i will be flying home and dont want to pay for extra bags, what shipping options are available from disneyworld.

I looked into purchasing the prepaid flat rate boxes from USPS but the boxes they had were pretty small and i would have to buy a lot of them.

can anyone tell me what my shipping options are (any ups or fedex kinkos stores in the resort area). i will be staying at the wilderness lodge so it will have to be in the resort area.

The Wilderness Lodge front desk will be more than happy to arrange shipping for any items you want shipped. We shipped a poster home from the front desk on our trip on 2006. They shipped it via FedEx to Canada. Shipping rates from the front desk are standard FedEx shipping rates based on the weight of the item you are shipping.

You can also ship from the Mercantile but you will pay a lot more for shipping. The shipping charges for stores at Disney World are based on the COST of the item, not the weight. So if you paid $50 for something that weighs 3 ounces (like we did with the poster) you will be charged shipping based on the $50 price tag. The front desk will charge you based on the weight of 3 ounces.

We ship from the business resources desk in the conference center resorts. We generally use FedEx ground service and it's surprisingly cheap. I've never asked the front desk at my own resort if they'd do the FedEx ground shipping for me but it could be a possibility. If you're staying at the Wilderness Lodge you could take your stuff over on the water taxi or (like we did last May) take a cab. Even with the cost of the cab fare added to the shipping expense it's still a better deal than shipping from the individual stores. Hope that helps!

What we do at WL is this: Go to the merchandise shop and ask for a box, they always have them in the back. Pack up your box, take the box to the guest relations part of the front desk, packed up, and they will even tape it up for you, and you mail it home UPS. We do this every time we go.

^^^ Never knew you could do that. We always drive our rental car over to the UPS store near the Premium Outlets and ship from there.

Why bother lugging everything over to the Contemporary when the Wilderness Lodge front desk will ship for you?
