Has anyone stayed there? I´ll be there last week of january and first of february. We have timeshare (RCI) and will be using our points.

Is it good?

We stayed there in 2000 in one of the two bedrooms and it was very nice. Lots of room, very clean and kept up nicely. It was my favorite offsite place that we have stayed.

We stayed there 3 years ago in a 2 bedroom. It was great! Very nice condo, nice facilities, friendly service with little pressure on the timeshare front. I'd recommend it.

I've stayed there twice. Once many many years ago with my whole family and also more recently in 2005 on my honeymoon. Both times were great. Clean. Nice pools. Comfortable to live in. They were nice enough to bump my wife and I up into a one bedroom with a hot tube when we mentioned we were on our honeymoon.

If my parents hadnt bought a TimeShare at a resort down the road, I'd stay there every time.

Thanks for helping me. I have read some reports at tripadvisor saying some bad things and was worried. Now I am getting calmer.

A co-worker of mine bought into this timeshare and just returned from a trip. Her pictures of the resort were nice and their unit has been recently refurbished. She was very pleased with her stay.

Regarding Tripadvisor - I have read reports on places that I have stayed, and experienced nothing like what others have reported. I have learned to take those reports with a grain of salt. And sometimes I wonder if some of the reports are real or just made up?!?!?!?

That crossed my mind too, some reports are so estrange.
I´m glad that your friend liked there. I was the one that made the reservation and we are taking some friends with us for their first travel...huge responsability.

All of Sheraton Vistana's sections should be updated by early 2011.

On Trip Advisor people constantly get Sheraton Vistana and Sheraton Vistana Villages mixed up. Sheraton Vistana Villages is the newer resort over on International Drive.

We've stayed at the original Sheraton Vistana in a one bedroom and it was nice - updated. They only have one bedrooms in the Lakes and Cascades sections. Here's an info thread that has a lot of information about the original Vistana:

We've stayed in Sheraton Vistana Villages more than once and always liked that resort, too.

Thanks a lot, this link is beig very helpfull. We´ll be staying at a 2 bedrooms and I think the adress says Vistana Boulevard, I guess we´ll be staying at the original Sheraton Vistana.

Remember, when it comes to reviewing places, people tend to be more motivated to post negative stuff than positive stuff. I know my wife goes out of her way to go to places like TripAdvisor and post a positive review if we had a good experience.

there is actually two vistanas in the surrounding areas of WDW. I have stayed at both. Loved them. You will have a blast. Do you know which one you are staying at? They both are through RCI

My family and I stayed there in April of 2008. As long as you have a car you are fine. We found that the shuttle service to Disney was so bad that It just about ruined our holiday.

The original Vistana resorts is nice, granted if you end up in the newly renovated rooms it's really nice.

My grandmother has a 2 week timeshare there and I stayed in one of the older rooms while she had a newer one. it is really improved, granted as people said the shuttle sucks but if you have a car its not bad.

It's situated right near DTD and easy access to the various Orlando parks.

There are 3 main pools and various smaller quiet pools, one pol has a slide while another has interactive water effects (and i believe zero entry) as well as the other pool which has the food court.

one disadvantage is it's broken into 2 sections separated by a road so to get between them you have to leave a gate and come in another, but they do have an internal shuttle I believe.

Here are some photos from my visit in 2009:
