While not having anything really to do with the rey movie, I found this pretty interesting. I know how much stock everyone puts in Halloween and it's relation to how relevant an IP is. But I just got back from spirit Halloween, and there was only 1 star wars costume. And that was a kids mando costume. No adult costumes, no accessories, nothing. With kids ranging from college to first grade, we've been in spirit every year for the last 20yrs. They have always had a selection of Jedi/sith robes, vader, boba, storm troopers... And had plenty of accessories. Now it is 2 days from Halloween, and maybe star wars is so popular they sold everything. But something tells me they just didn't order anything.

I'm not one to jump on the train; but ya, Star Wars really does feel rudderless outside of Feloni et. al.

I guess at least Mando & Grogu is sticking.

Mando is about as sure of a bet as they have right now. Star wars has been rudderless since rise of Skywalker in my opinion. They seem to be taking DC as their grand example of how to run a universe. As I've said before, release Mando and if it does well, auto green light a sequel. Outside of that, just shut it down until we have a new group in lucasfilm. I'd like a new team to have full creative control of a new saga. Not take over something someone else started.
