If you could only share one tip to making a great wdw trip better, more enjoyable, or whatever. What would it be. So please post your best most helpful tip.

Be there at park opening and take a break in the afternoon. Leave the parks and take a nap--no matter what your age! You will have a much more pleasant evening.

Take a break!

For some people this is a very expensive trip and they may feel they are not getting their money's worth if they leave in the middle of the day. These are the same people who are yelling at their kids and "checking off only three more things in Tomorrowland before we can go to Fantasyland".

But unless your hotel is on the far side of Orlando, get there at park opening and leave by 2 p-m. Even if you don't take a nap, and I have trouble sleeping in the middle of the day, go back to the room, take your shoes off and get on the bed and watch television or read. Or get in the pool. But do something that doesn't involve standing in line and experiencing intense attractions.

Then return after an absolute minimum of 2 hours, 3 or more is better and go into the night. There are wonderful things to do at three of the parks at night and all the parks are beautiful at night.

Research your trip before you go! That way you can have at least a bare bones plan of what to do so you don't stand around saying "I dunno, what do YOU want to do next?"

Research, research, research... you'll find all of the good tips, discounts, ect. and will be very infomed. I believe you get so much more out of your trip if it's been researched.

It's not just about the rides. Take the time to explore the parks - each has lots of neat little places and special spots. That is where memories are made. If all you do is rush from ride to ride you miss all that stuff that makes Disney special.

Talk to cast members-ask them questions. There is the occasional oddball, but the majority seem to love their jobs and love to share their knowledge of all things Disney.

Hey guys,

I see alot of the advice being given is research. How exactly do u research for when u r going. All I have done is check the Disney site to see the hours for when I am going and by a couple of guides. Besides that what are some other good sources of research (ofcourse besides this site which has been the best guide)

Slow down and take time to soak in the details. You WON'T see it all, so take time to enjoy what you do see.
That's certainly true! You'll be more happy when you come home to know that you made the most out of your trip :)

Guide books are great! My mom and I are going in August and I went to the local library and checked out all the WDW guide books they had and have been reading them at work the last week. We've also been looking online at this site and disney.com.

I'm going to Ditto everyone who said to take a break in the middle of the day. That and make sure you have a character meal at some point during your trip.

i agree with what others have said about taking breaks...one way to do that is have a nice sit-down dinner at least once during your trip, very relaxing and lets you soak in everything you've done so far
