There are countless threads that turn into a negative, lets bash Disney topic. Let's change that for a moment. Why not share all the positive things Disney has to offer and all the magic they have made possible for you and or your family during your visit(s).

I for instance was very impressed and grateful beyond words when I took my D.D for breakfast at C.R.T. I wasn't aware that when I booked my reservation I could have informed them of my allergies. When we arrived at C.R.T. I asked the server to please not put eggs on my plate as I was allergic, she asked me if I had noted that when I made my reservation. I apologized and told her that I hadn't as I was not aware I could do that. Well, to my surprise, the chef came out to speak to me about my allergies and he prepared me a plate I will never forget. He personally brought my plate out to me. That totally wowed me. Yes, I understand many of you out there may have known that I could have informed them of my allergies ahead of time, however I did not and Disney made sure that my expierence was a memorable one.

There are so many more experiences I can share, but you get the point. Let's share the positive and stop bashing Disney. :sohappy:

What you experienced is what Disney is supposed to be about at every turn. This is exactly how WDW from the start no matter how small or minute it was, they were on top of it with no questions asked. When you see people upset with what is going on now it is because WDW has set the bar MUCH lower than it was when it opened in 71.

Here is an example and my first memory of WDW around 1974:
My dad got me popcorn. I proceed to drop it almost instantly. Before I could bend down to pick it up, a CM was sweeping up the mess, another went to the popcorn people and got me another.

Today, that box would sit there, get trampled on, and eventually picked up. I would have to go ask for a replacement. Most CMs would still give it to you, but you would be the one asking.

You are so right about this thread. We have far too many negative posts and not enough highlighting the great points of Disney.

On our last Trip, November 2010, we were taking the water taxi from Westside to DTD Eastside. My son, 6 at the time, was sitting, along with the rest of us, waiting for the boat to load and he came to my son, and said, :here you go, little skipper" and gave my son a special Walt Disney World Water Taxi Pin. Made my son feel very special. He put that pin on right away. Something so small made the day so nice.

I was very impressed when in I believe Jan 2009 I had just gotten my ears pierced the previous year (I was too afraid to get them pierced when I was younger) and was looking forward to buying mickey mouse earrings. Well the backs on them were horrendous and the earrings kept falling out. When I tried on clothes in DTD one day I had lost one of them. Went to guest services in the MK and asked if they could call DTD to see if they found them because I knew exactly in which dressing room I had lost it, but no such luck. The cast member then surprised me with a voucher for a free pair of new earrings! I was so excited because I had been wanting them for so long and was bummed when I lost one. So she really made my day by giving me that voucher for a new pair. I couldn't have thanked her enough.

I can totally relate to your allergy story, while I am a veteran now at the great lengths Disney goes for us with food allergies (for me its beef, pork, dairy, egg) I at one time did not, and did the same thing you did, and was so embarrassed when they ran back and told me they would have to speak to the chef...but now I think its fabulous that they take care of us. And I am grateful that I share the joy and recommend it to anyone! I couldn't help but smile reading this for I went through the same emotions I first did all over again.
