Hope this is right, everything I have read says ground breaking no earlier than May and opening sometime in 2015. I am planning on being there for opening day.

I was really hoping the park would be open by summer 2015...4 3/4 years from now seems like such a long time.

Lots of news out of Shanghai today saying that the ground breaking will be April 8th with construction starting at that time. Maybe a little early to be packing my bags, but I can not wait.

Just one question (as the groundbreaking is set now) but who exactly is this ThemeParkOne?

Have I missed another online Disney blogger? (only weeds are more prevalent and they are easier to get rid of!)

The Shanghai government has said this is Disney park #1 and that they plan to build two additional Disney parks (no time table). They are interested in a EPCOT and Animal Kingdom. I think that the city had such a large turn out for the recent World's Fair, that they really want EPCOT with a world showcase next. Additonal land has already been purchased and set aside for these two parks.

Today the press in China is saying that the park may open as early as 2014. We will just have to wait and see what happens Friday.
