Shampoo and such

In a recent thread I was reading about what people do with the shampoo, lotion, ect. provided by the hotels. Some people donate theirs, others list them on ebay. What do you do with yours?

Also, I would have expected a better quality of shampoo, ect. at the Disney hotels than what you get. Some hotels in the country, like the W, charge about the same prices or less and have designer bath products. Disney seems to skimp on that a bit. Just my opinion:)

Yeah! We could use prisoners with life sentences or on death row to test. Atleast the tax payers money would go to good use:D I'm kidding, we would of course ask them first and keep them well compensated for being our test subjects. lol
I agree, that would be much more humane that torturing innocent animals. Besides, wouldn't it make more sense to do testing on subjects that could actually tell you excatly what they feel?

Darn, longfamily and PurpleDragon beat me to the punch. I agree with using death row prisoners, and probably life sentencers, for testing. But I don't know if I would ask them for permission, or compensate them. Did they ask their victims first if they could commit a crime towards them?

But the point is moot, because there'd be some ACLU liberal crying that it was cruel or unusual punishment.

What are you talking about?!?!?!?!?!? There are hundreds of companies that do not test on animals, and I would much rather see them test on a human than a helpless animal.

At least the human would know what they were getting into and would know the pain they would have to endure. The animals are forced to do this and in turn do not understand why they are being punished and put in such terrible pain. I think its the most cruel thing anyone could ever do. Its a superiority complex, the thought that we are superior to these lesser animals so we can do whatever we want to them in the name of science. That is just sickening.
Don't get all snippity... did you not read the last part of what I said?

Are you telling me that in that whole list of products, you do not use ONE of them? Because if you do, all of the things you are stating are void.

I'm not going to get into a heated debate over whether or not animals should be used to test products. It's another one of those moral and ethical topics that people should avoid, and I am going to.

Sadly to say after doing some checking. The shampoo Disney is currently using Jhirmack, is on the list of companies that do testing on animals. So obviously Disney does not care that the company they purchase their products from, uses Thumper's cousins to test the toxicity of their products.

Also Gail, I just checked and apparently Pantene does animal testing too. So you might want to look into finding a new brand.
Yep, they do and I said, earllier, that it is back to Paul Mitchell (or a change in shampoos for me).

Yeah... I looked at the list, too. Pretty much all companies test on animals. You can't avoid it... companies must test their products. I am sure everyone would agree that it is better to test the product on a rabbit or dog as opposed to a loved one. And OBVIOUSLY these "animal tested" products are safe for use... we all use them. I'm not saying it's right... it's just true.
Really, ever try drinking draino or bleach?

Yep, they beat me also. My target would be child molesters and to hell with their rights and the ACLU.

Sorry didn't mean to appear to get snippity towards you.:hammer: The whole cruelty to animals thing just eats me up inside. No offense was meant from my statement, I was only trying to get my point across. However it does appear to be a bit aggressive, doesn't it? Sorry!:D

But I must say that I do not agree that it would be better to test these products on animals rather than people. I would rather people be used to test these products. Besides, the products are made for humans anyway, so why not test on humans from the get go?

To answer your question from my first scan of the list I did not see any products off hand that I use on a daily basis. However I'm sure there is at least one of them, and you better bet that I will no longer be using that product when and if I find one.

Yummy!!:slurp:

LOL!!!  But you must remember Gail, there is always Mr. or Mrs. Idiot out there who are looking for a quick cheap way to get drunk. :brick: So they must test the products to know if it will be toxic for those idiots or not.

IMHO I would say that those idiots deserve whats coming to them if they're dumb enough to drink those products though.
