Shakes & Floats!

Good Morning All. I'am gonna have to stop torturing myself watching past Disney vacation DVDs of our trips..Last night I watched our 2010 and my ultimate Shake at Ghirardelli in Downtown.. The Nob Chill experience. It was awesome.( excuse for a moment whilst I wipe my mouth ) Thats better.Anyway it was right up there with my beloved Dole Whip..But what do you prefer on a hot Florida day to quench your thirst.A Shake or a Float.? Also,where would you get yours from.?

Having a milk shake in Florida on a hot day would make me crazy thirsty, I'd be "chugging" water after that. The Dole Whip float would more than likely have the same effect but maybe not as bad, so I'd go with the float.

Secondly.Am not a fan of either and would rather grab a large vanilla iced latte from the cart between the UK and Canada ..

The BEST shake I've had anywhere in WDW....oddly enough....is from the Sci-Fi Diner at DHS. Their food isn't all that good, but the orange shake they serve there (called "lava" something, I think) was just fantastic.

Also....I find at anytime that a good coke or root beer float (using a DDP snack option) always hits the spot.

Nothing beats the heat of the hot Florida sun quite like a slushie. It's lighter than either a float or a shake.

Shared a shake once with my DS at Sassagoula, and it was more milk with a little ice cream in it than the shakes I am used to. Absolutely, without a doubt pineapple dole whip float.

milkshakes - WC (I mean seriously they are bottomless and you can get one to go), 50's prime time, and of course the a fore mentioned Ghiradelli

Let's see. I'd start with a Dole Whip Float on a hot afternoon and end with a shake from Whispering Canyon with dinner. So much easier to waddle to your room after dinner at WC when you're staying at the WL.

Milkshakes are great never had one at wdw but love them. The best I ever had was a pb&j one and a Carmel pretzel shake.
