Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Discussion

I am really excited for this one!

From what I gathered, this will be a tame roller coaster/dark ride that may or may not tell the story of Snow White. So far apparently we have concept of a scene with the dwarfs in the mine. It will feature a unique ride system that sways back and forth.

Will the Witch make an appearance in the new ride, or will she forever haunt the princesses at the Snow White's Adventures site?

How long will this attraction be?

Let the discussion begin! :sohappy:

I'm very excited for this ride too. I can't freakin' wait for it. I'm guessing the witch will be part of the ride probably only making a little cameo. I'm also guessing the ride will be around 6 to 7 minutes.

This ride is looking more and more like it'll be my favorite ride ever. I really love everything about it so far- I'm hoping the finished product can be just as appealing.

My first question after seeing the concept art (the one showing the overhead view of the entire FLE area) is this...

There is structure in the middle of the new Mine Car ride area that clearly is intended to be the dwarfs' cottage. There are guests depicted walking up a path to the cottage. My initial thought was that this is where the ride queue would be. Then I noticed what appear to be two mine entrances just around the corner from the start of that path. It looks like a good number of guests are entering one mine entrance and exiting the other. This makes me change my mind and decide that this must be the queue entrance and exit.

So if I'm right about the mine entrance/exit, then what is the cottage all about. If I'm wrong about the mine entrance/exit, then what are they for?

The mine is the entrance. One for Standby, one for Fastpass.
The exit is via the path with the cottage.

This may of been answered in a previous thread, but are the "animated figures" mentioned in this ride's press release video screens, repurposed cutouts from SWSA, or AAs?

I'm hoping there are no cutouts. If this is more of a dark ride, I hope it's a high caliber one like Spaceship Earth, not SWSA.

You have the Fastpass and Standby reversed.
Otherwise...correct.

No cutouts. Animated figures, likely a bit better quality than seen in the current ride. I don't think there will be much reusing of the current figures, but I may be mistaken.

The more I read about this ride the more excited I get! I'm just glad that a coaster is coming out of this project!

I can honestly say I'm getting excited about this ride as well. It's gonna be a long two years for us, since we're not going back until the expansion is complete.

Really looking forward to this, and the rest of the Fantasyland expansion.

I can't tell from the concept art though how big this attraction is. Would this area be the size of BTMRR, or quite a bit smaller? Also, any idea how long the ride would be? I'm trying to figure out if it's going to be like a smaller BTMRR or more like Crush's Coaster, with rocking back and forth instead of spinning.

It's good to hear more and more people excited for FLE. All I've heard the last year is people whining about how awful it was. Everyone knew whatever they ended up doing was going to be awesome. Now that it's getting closer and closer, now that we all have confirmed updates, Now everyone is excited. The LM ride will be fantastic, the castle will be awesome, the Mine coaster will be loved by all. Only thing I won't get is why not change the SWSA to maybe Pinnochio (like the one in Disneyland). But I mean you need a spot for the Princess', so I get it. Not a big deal, they're a money maker.

And did I hear a complaint about Toy Story Mania? Really?..... Realllly?
