Seven Dwarfs Mine Store

So what do people think is going on with this store? It closed in January and here it is October and no sign of it re-opening. Even at the pace Disney does things this seems to be a long time, especially since I believe it was a pretty small store. Just doesn't make sense for the retail location for your newest ride to remain closed this long after the opening of the ride.

Can't imagine it would save much dragging out a project this small, not to mention the fact that it's a store so provides direct revenue.

This has been rumored since it's the most logical place to put it. Maybe this is what it was waiting on.

You would think but when I passed it last time it really looked like they were tearing things apart inside, and I wanna say that was in september.

must be a decent issue they are debating on the fix, or the fixes just aren't cutting it. quite a long time for such a small area

It looks like it would cannibalize the pooh store and some of Friars, doesn't it? My wife commented after our fifth turn on the mine train that no store was an epic fail.

Strange. My Hubby commented after our second turn on the Mine Train that the ride was an epic fail.

(For the record, I thought it was just fine, although we did not end up using two more FastPasses later that week.)

Is this for the area that was the store next to Snow White, to the right of Mrs. Potts ? If so, the walls were down Saturday and its just stroller parking with some bar-type tables along the wall.

Yup^ No store. Nothing. Just a wierd area.

Very strange to keep is closed that long then put nothing there. Wonder if there was some debate as to how the space was going to be used.

This was open this week as the same snack bar. I'm not sure if it was closed for just a referb, or if they were planning on using it for Mine Train photos at one point, but seems like the only way to get photos/videos from the Mine Train is through the Magic Bands/Photo Pass system, it looked like Splash Mt had switched over to that as well, and there doesn't seem to be any space in the new Haunted Mansion gift shop if they are planning on doing an on-board photo/video for that at some point in the future.
