I would appreciate any input from others. There will be 7 of us going in December of next year, 4 adults (hubby, myself, daughter, son) and our three grandkids, ages 3, 4 and a baby almost a year old. I am torn between these two resorts. Any thoughts about them. I need to save as much as I can that is why we are looking into staying offisite vs. onsite. We are trying to squeeze this trip in for our family Christmas. Any thoughts?

Celebration Suites is excellent!!

There is no comparison- Seralago is old, dumpy and falling apartment. Read the reviews on Tripadvisor. Celebration Suites is remodeled with great new amenities for the family. Celebration Suites are HUGE and are very comfortable for a large family- did I forget to mention the FULL kitchens and separate dining and living room areas. Most importantly, Celebration Suites are very affordable. You will be disappointed at Seralago- don't risk it. Celebration Suites is the route you want to go with the family.

We have stayed at Seralago a few times. It is an older hotel. As a matter of fact it used to be a Holiday Inn. At one time it held the record as being the largest 2 level or non tower type Holiday Inn in the world. We have never had a problem staying there. Like I said it is old, and could use some updating, but it has always been clean. It is in a good location, easy to get to everything. Old Town is right next door as are numerous restaurants. They don't do free breakfast, but they do ahve a breakfast buffet. I thought it was overpriced though considering the quality of the food. But there is a McDonald's across the street. Plus they have mini fridges and microwaves in the rooms. I feel like when we go back we will probably end up staying there again. Hopefully that answers your questions.

Agree with PanfanAl's review. Not a bad hotel. We don't spend much time in the hotel, so as long as it's a clean room where we can shower, we are ok.

We've stayed at Seralago a few times due to the last minute nature of some of our past trips. The rooms are so-so...really older carpet, bedding, etc. They really need to refurb their rooms. I never really felt like they were the cleanest, although I knew they were...when rooms are older, they never feel quite as clean. Lower quality towels, bedding and toiletry offerings. But overall we were fine with staying there, as we didn't spend a lot of time in our hotel.

On the plus side, when we went there was almost always free breakfast for the kids. We enjoyed the breakfast just fine. Another plus, everyone there was always really helpful and really nice!! It is really easy to get to the parks and as you have probably aready discovered, it is a really inexpensive choice! Also, the kids never noticed the lower quality that I noticed, they always had a blast! They also have family suite type rooms that have one queen and a bunkbed area. The kids thought it was fun, but defnitely not nearly Disney quality.
