Oh wow I didn't think that it would be going on when we were there. That's awesome! Is it worth the extra price?

For me, yes. I am a big fan of halloween. The parade had the headless horseman and a great haunted mansion segment. There are lots of characters out for meet and greets and a chance to meet most of the villains.
There is much candy handed out and special holiday fireworks. If you like halloween, it is well worth it.

I just looked online and it said that they do it on select nights. Any idea when they reveal which nights they'll be doing it?

The nights that MK is scheduled to close at 7 p.m. are the party nights. The park hours are usually released before the party dates, so that should give you a head's up. This site will post the hours (and party dates) as soon as they are available. Parties are 3-4 nights per week.
