Going 2nd week of september with free dining.I know you get 1 sit down meal,1 quick service meal, and 1 snack per guest. It says you can trade 2 sit down meals for one "signature restraurant" or dinner show. I figure the dinner shows are the luau, Mickey's backyard BBQ, and the hoop dee doo reveue. Does anyone know what the "Signature Restraunts" are?

If you go to the Disney web site and go to the dining section it has a graph showing all the Signature resturants. The ones that I have eaten at are Artist Point, Flying Fish, Yacht Men Steak House.

I think Cali Grill is one, too, Narcoossees, Jiko. If you go to the web site and pop up dining plan, you can look/print out every restaurant included and those that require 2 ts credits.

what are the crowds like now in sept with the free dining?
do the restaurants book up fast?

The good ones are more then likely booked up already. The crowds are not bad though I have noticed as the years have gone by with the free dining in Sept they have picked up. This is year 3 for me on this promotion

The good ones ARE booked up! I booked all mine at the 180 day mark. Then a week later my parents decide they want to go and I had a hard time doing their ADRs and changing some of mine around to accomodate them. Le Cellier was pretty much booked up and Chef Mickey's was hard to get as well. I feel bad for the people planning last minute vacations for Sept. b/c it's going to be "slim pickins'" for the restaurants.

The crowds have been a little heavier with the free dining the lat few Sept. Some of the food places can be difficult to get ressies in.But also because of the economy it might be a little lighter this year.

If you have not yet booked any dining, you are probably already too late for some of the more popular restaurants. Booking start 180 prior to arrival, and believe me people are on those phones at that 180 day mark...Time to get moving on this...

Not to mention gas prices continue to soar. While most polls indicate that prices aren't affecting travel, they just went up again today...so people might start reconsidering travel plans.

Once you have gas staying at $4 a gallon for a month or two and fuel oil nearly $5 a gallon everything will change. I know it will for me. I will have zero money for vacations.
