Sentinel: "MGM" will remain, not Pixar

I wonder if they will move the Toy Story Pizza Planet Arcade and the two Pixar Character Meet & Greets (Monsters Inc. and Al's Toy Barn) to the "Disney-Pixar Studios" area?
Monsters Inc is by the Toy Mania area. Across the street from it.

And most of the products are carrying the name Disney Studios now.

Hmm, I seem to remember having an argument earlier this year on this forum in which everyone yelled at me for not believing that the entire park was going to be re-branded as the Disney-Pixar Studios in the near future, because some insiders were positive that it would be.

In your defense, they were on the right track, but it shows that you shouldn't automatically believe every claim that people "in the know" make.

It was implied to me that the park was being renamed. Though...it does kinda make sense to just do that one area....if they are planning on adding more Pixar around there. Mania isn't enough for that.

Anything at this point is good. Even if it ends up being cloned DCA stuff.

Yep. The Backlot Tour area will make a fantastic expansion spot.
I put up a photo of the area.
The red is the Backlot Tour. Pull that out and you have a very nice area for Pixar to move into, and to justify the name Disney-Pixar Studios.
In fact, if they wanted even more room, they could use the blue area as well. Change "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" into "Bug's Life" and there you have it.

That's a nice amount of space and in the "right" spot for a Disney/Pixar Studios expansion. Is it safe to say that the mini-themepark concepts are being thrown into The Studios....to counter Potter?

I like the idea of having different sections of the park dedicated to a different "studio"...the ToT area would be great to include television related properties.

I assume if this ends up being the case (studios within a studio) that the name could be something general...The Studios...:lookaroun

^No, it isn't. The Monsters, Inc. Meet n Greet area is on Commissary Lane across from the ABC Commissary and near Sci Fi Dine-in Theater. Of course, it would be really easy to move.
the ToT area would be great to include television related properties.
But Hollywood and Sunset Blvd are both supposed to be "The Hollywood than never was but always will be." They aren't supposed to be "studio production" related.

I personally don't think that what they have there now is working much....the overall theme of The Studios needs work...for the sake of more cohesiveness anyway.
