Can you believe it?! I turned on the Disney Channel this morning to count the number of times Raven would be on. . .

Behold! THE MANY ADVENTURES OF WINNIE THE POOH - MOVIE! was on!! I actually ENJOYED the Disney Channel!

It was such a wonderful feeling seeing this movie on the Disney Channel. To think, if they actually mixed this in normal-time with all of the tween/teen junk, I'd actually have a TV Channel I could purely enjoy.

Then I saw the film was part of PLAYHOUSE DISNEY - SPECIAL EDITION.

I guess I'm a toddler.

I swear, if ABC Family Channel (or Disney Channel, for that matter) was to convert to a Vault Disney channel, it would have my viewership every waking minute!

It would, no kidding. My television set would be permanently tuned to it (except during breaking news events - when I would have to surf over to the cable news station block).

Because believe me, my current viewship of the Disney cable channels I have mentioned is hovering at about, 0.5 - 1%. With the conversion to a Vault Disney channel, that viewership would skyrocket to about 107% :)

As I have said before, the Disney Channel should still have a current MMC on it, taped live in Florida, and reruns of old ones on the weekends or early mornings or nights.

Classic Disney stuff defines the product still -- and should be mixed in with contemporary programming on the channel.

Besides: next year is the 50th anniversary of the television MMC (although local chapters had existed and met at movie theaters/palaces for years before). They could use the anniversary to promote the show, right along with Disneyland's 50th! The mouseketeers actually debuted on the opening day telecast from Disneyland... then came to TV full-time later that year.

Good stuff.

I have a tweener and the Disney Channel is driving me nuts! Between Raven and the Cheetah girls..... :hurl:

I like ToonDisney. I actually get to sit with my tweener and watch House of Mouse, our favorite, and other non-Raven shows. I would definitely love to have a Vault Disney Channel.
