Security at the Park Entrance

I've been in the parks more than most people and the stuff that gets by just by observation is insane. They don't look at strollers, poor bag searches, constant ignore of alarms, etc.
So you would
Implement stroller searches
Make bag searches more thorough
All alarms are referred for extra checks .

Anything else ?

I will tolerate the notoriously rude and angry TSA agents in Atlanta whose “terrible results” prevented 451 handguns - of which 93% were fully loaded - from being brought into aircraft last year.

I see your stat and raise you another stat:

The news of the failure comes two years after ABC News reported that secret teams from the DHS found that the TSA failed 95 percent of the time to stop inspectors from smuggling weapons or explosive materials through screening.

As always, there are more questions even to your 451 handgun stat.

At what cost were those handguns confiscated?

How many got through?

How many would have resulted in any issue?

What are the alternatives that might actually be cheaper and better than a government agency infringing on our rights?

How much liberty did you lose?

Absolutely all of those, plus far more enhanced undercover security, visible security, and more security terminals. More dogs and probably 2 layers of security screening.

The difference between Disney and TSA is that Disney is private property, is entirely elective, and is run by non-govt agents for the most part. Airline travel should not be restricted by the US government and perceived safety paid for with tax dollars.

When's the last time a plane was hijacked departing the USA?
That doesn't mean the TSA is effective. Before September 11, you could pretty much say the same thing. Bottom line is, Americans lost a ton of liberty, paid a huge financial cost, and still pay it today for probably almost nothing. I also value liberty over safety, especially fake safety. We are not the same.

What kind of liberty did you lose?
Personal privacy. Submitting to using facial recognition. Being treated like a criminal every time I fly. Not being touched by random people. Submitting to random searches. Going through my personal items. Wasting my time while all this nonsense goes on in front of me. Paying for the TSA with my tax dollars with zero accountability or respect from their side. In the case of a disagreement, the fascist setup gives a regular citizen zero avenue to question them or you don't fly.

Should I go on?

Sure. Reminds me of how many angry people are out there.

Good comeback. Just say I'm angry and right. What is angry about liberty? You value fake safety over liberty, so we just aren't the same. You're willing to give up freedom and I'm less willing. Doesn't make me bad.

Disney has the right to do this. The government does not. We have a constitution.

I know quite a lot about the Constitution and the powers accorded to the government. I value safety and liberty.

You're angry and wrong.

Having a whole debate over the supposed overreach of security measures in high traffic vulnerable places is kind of insane. These procedures are in place for a reason, and while some of them might be irritating, they serve a purpose in our society.

Perhaps you consider the safety offered by them to be "fake" and you have a right to that opinion, but the reality is these sorts of security procedures are indeed necessary and if they went away, it would make our world a much worse place. I'm afraid you're just going to have to get over it, pal. The good of the many far outweighs your personal grievances.

That's not to say Disney cannot do better. They can, and should. They should be far more strict than they are. They should be more like the TSA. Far more thorough and conscious of risk level. I know you want those liberties you speak of, but public safety is more important. That goes for Disney and the airport alike.

A number of folks bash TSA but I find them doing important work so we can fly safely but then again Musk the richest guy in the world is yapping that he can save $2 trillion dollars by restructuring going from 400 federal agencies down to 99 agencies with him leading to DOGE program.

Your idea of TSA being nonsense is ridiculous. Safety supercedes one’s personal privacy etc to keep us flying safe.

Don't travel outside of your own personal vehicle then. Also, don't go anywhere that requires a security checkpoint (sports venues, theme parks, concerts etc).

Curious how many potential terrorist attacks has WDW gate security stopped? All my visits it has never been a concern of mine
One deterrent was when the guy who killed 50 including a MK cast member at Pulse near downtown Orlando was observed on camera in Disney Springs one evening shortly prior to the Pulse incident looking around but saw a considerable amount of Security and Law Enforcement presence.
