Visiting from Oct. 12-19. How will the crowds be at this time. I know the food and wine festival is going on at this time. Also how is the Caribbean resort hotel. Never stayed there before.
Thanks

You'll love the hotel. :D It is gorgeous!

That's the time of the year we go, and the crowds are pretty good. (See photo below) We get to the parks at opening, ride the major stuff, then casually walk through the parks for the rest of the day using our FPs. ** Tip: At MK opening, GO LEFT. :D The majority of the people go to the right. You can walk onto JC, PotC, Splash, and BTMRR. The rest of the rides will be very short after those initial rides.

We stayed around the same time last year and really enjoyed it. The crowds were very manageable, in fact over the course of our 12 day stay, we only got two fastpasses the whole time and never waited more than 30 minutes for a ride. Of course know what to ride and what not to ride when so that helps but the crowds were fine.
I'd avoid Epcot on weekend days if you can only to avoid the festival crowds.

Have a great trip!!!

the first two weeks of october are my favorite time to visit (we're going 10/3-10/10 for our anniversary!). crowds are generally pretty calm, but will spike on the weekends or any holidays. like @G00fyDad we try to get to the parks near opening (within the first hour usually) and that usually helps avoid many lines for rides. depending on extra magic hours and park closing times, we may or may not go back to the hotel for a nap. one of the things about this time of year that i find nice is that the parks aren't usually open REALLY late, so i don't feel like i have to stay there really late :) we can get back to the hotel at a decent time and get to bed and wake up early to do it all again!
