besides the main launch site, what are the fallout zones for the fantasyland launches, and what are the fallout zones for Permitter?

Fantasyland's fallout zone includes the areas from SWSA to the Carrousel and the Carrousel to Philharmagic as well as the ramps heading towards Sleepy Hollow and Cosmic Rays. Since half of the Carrousel is in the fallout zone, it must be closed during Wishes.

For the main shots, Floridian Way is shut off from around the Reedy Creek station all the way to the 4 way stop at Park 2 entrance.

Have a relative who works at dumbo/barnstormer. The new one is completely new, the old one is the refurb old one. Projection for new queue, other half of dumbo, casey jr waterworks, merch store, basically the rest of storybook area is schedule to be open before July 1. Cant wait because lots of people complaining that there is no area to sit, park strollers, too hot, no shade etc. Opening up that area will surely help with those problems.

Ariel/Beast Castle/etc - pretty much everything else but the Dwarf Mine ride is set for before the holiday season this year.

Dwarf ride is set for 2014.

I'm excited, going down in a couple weeks! Hope they keep Big Thunder Moutain on schedule for 5/27 reopen.:sohappy:

And because the poster asked about the perimeters, which are only used on special event/holiday shows, those close off all of the Floridian Way/World Drive loop from just north of the Grand Floridian to just north of the Contemporary driveway.

I'm not sure if CM bus access is allowed to run from the park to Costuming during perimeters or not... (I'm thinking not)

No, CM busses are not permitted to run during the fireworks show. I remember watching in hordes of people backstage, waiting for Wishes to end so we can go home.

Is the dwarf ride 2014 a timeline in case things go wrong, or is 2014 a safe bet do you think?

Buses do run during Wishes. Since the road that the buses take to the entrance of the tunnels is out of the fallout zone.

I believe they are able to run during halloween/christmas parties when they shoot the perimeter shots. I know that they station security guards at the exits of West Clock and they do not allow you go towards Park 2 until they are given the all clear and that usually takes 15 to 30 minutes after the fireworks show is over.

When I was cping in MK back in 2010, buses did not run during Wishes. Trust me, I used to get out right around Wishes every night. We all use to sprint down the tunnels to catch the last bus before Wishes. So unless the fallout zone has changed in the past two years, they still don't run.

EDIT: At least for the finale of wishes they stop running buses. I distinctly remember them stoping the buses.

I did the CP last fall. I only spent one week deployed to Magic Kingdom but one of the nights I was there, I got off right before Wishes. I was sitting at West Clock waiting for the CP bus and I'm pretty sure while I was there, no buses came from the tunnels. It also seemed like the CP bus took a different route than normal too but that could just be my imagination.

Back on the topic of the second Dumbo...

It looks like test and adjust for Dumbo is starting to happen in the upcoming week or so. If you are in the park look for Dumbo to be taking flight!

Interesting. I've worked there six years and never waited for a bus during Wishes. In fact, I always likes the way the bus rocked with the concussions. Reminded me of those scenes from M*A*S*H where they were evacuating during a shelling. And when you cross Floridian you can see the shells launching.

Now my daughter, who worked for five years beforeI started, says she remembers them stopping busses, so perhaps the show has modified, or different shells. But right now, busses DO run during wishes.

Well, like I said. I was only there for a week and only one of my shifts ended before Wishes. So I could be remembering things wrong. :ROFLOL: All I know is, I got back to West Clock before Wishes started. Would it being Holiday Wishes make a difference? The shows are the same though, just with different audio?

I don't think you will get a solid answer to this quesiton. I personally believe it will likely take that long to complete, but there are others on the board that will say that they are padding the timeline in case there are problems. We do know that this was an official internal date at Disney before it was released to the public.

The second Dumbo was flying today! Gotta say it looked really cool with both Dumbos running at the same time!

That is so cool. I can't wait to see video of this. Each individual Dumbo is awesome with the water features, details, etc., but I just want to see them flying together.

Will the rides be synchronized to start and stop at the same time...'Duelling Dumbos'?

I doubt it. Delays at one dumbo would delay the other, greatly reducing capacity (and the whole aim of having two dumbos was to increase capacity). I'm sure there will be many times when both happen to be running at the same time, however.

Are they just testing it or were guests aboard?

Just testing. My guess is that we are atleast a couple of weeks away from opening. As to the Dumbo's being synchronized, it will only happen if both Dumbos are ready at the same time. It would greatly reduce capacity if we waited to run both at the same time.

When both are up in the air it is really cool!
