Second day still free?

Hi!

I'm a frequenter of the DISboards discussion forums. Over there two threads on this subject are currently attracting posts but so far no concrete answers. Hopefully someone here can offer some insight.

It's been noted that all reference to the "second day free with purchase of single day ticket" has been removed from the Sea World Orlando website. Is this long running promo being phased out? Recent visitors to SWO are posting that they did get the 2nd day. Most online ticket brokers are still advertising the promo but they will not guarantee that Sea World will honor it (the fine print on the ticket reads something like, "it's at the discretion of Sea World")

Those of us who like to plan things ahead of time are frustrated not knowing whether the ticket price will buy one or two days at the park. :veryconfu

You probably should call Sea World just to make sure. We did get the free day, but that was 2 weeks ago.

Wow, I didn´t know they were still doing that! We got it three years ago, but the second visit had to be within a week of your first visit. Is it how it still is?

You would think you could get a concrete answer by calling SWO's 800 number but of 4 posters to the DISboards who called w/ this question 2 were told that the program was to be discontinued and 2 were told that it will not.:veryconfu

Yes, for as long as I can remember, the 2nd day had to be w/ in a week after the 1st. I went last 9yrs ago and it was in effect then, so this is a long standing thing for SW. Many people will be upset if they d/c it.

Yesterday I e-mailed SW from the website. Still waiting for a reply. I'll post when/if I get it.

we are going in aug , so about a moth ago we managed to buy on the seaworld website a fun card ( unlimited access to seaworldup until dec 03 ) for the same price as a single day, but dont know if they are still doinh that offer!!

I have heard of the funcard but thought it would be more money. I guess that would solve the problem for us. I will look into it.

Got an e-mail reply from Sea World. They only state that the 2nd day free is still in effect, not if it will be in effect when we are there in Sept/Oct. I guess they don't want to make any predictions that far in advance.

wow, I thought they had discontinued this long ago, Back in 98 i gone on December 31st and i got it, never went back and have the discontinued still taped to my door.

I dont need the second day free due to I have an AP, but am bringing someone with me and am happy i could spend more days there,
