Hi...well, I've had an interesting weekend so far.
We went to one of our friend's house this weekend...had a great time...however, by looking at their house, it motivated WHF and I to actually do something to ours again. (IE...finishing the place.)
Therefore, yesterday, we took out $400 and went shopping for some new supplies. This was interesting. First we bought a new dishwasher (this did not come from the $400...it was seperate) from a scratch and dent store. I hope it's ok when my handyman puts it in. It looks really nice though. The bottom just might be a tiny bit dinged in the front.
Next, we went out furnature shopping b/c we've been having TV trays in our family room as end tables...and well, that doesn't look right. So we went to a bunch of different stores, trying to figure out what we wanted. I was being really picky. Nothing I saw I liked. Finally, I saw this little black number that I thought would look good and it was inexpensive, so we bought it. Get it home, put it together, and well, it's a lot bigger than I thought. And now I don't know how I feel about it.
I think I need a second opinion, so maybe later I'll take pics and post for another opinion. (Stupid house and it's wierd family room shape!)
Then we went and bought new pillows for the couch, b/c one of our pillows got ruined. We also bought curtains for our bedroom window...b/c the sunlight is brutal in the morning. Unfortunately, the curtains were just a few inches too short. Now I've gotta "fix" it by getting some white curtains to put in the center to make it look like it's suposed to fit that way.
All in all, what was a very exciting shopping trip leaves me feeling like everything was a huge mistake. This is why I don't like to buy stuff for my house. Stupid buyers remorse!
