Well, not as much as before, but since I put it off for a longer period of time, it now ends up being about the same as always. :lookaroun:kiss:
How was your day, Connor? Lots of homework?
:drevil:I blame it on Connor!
I'm trying to read up on the latest from the department of education for my interview tomorrow.....:dazzle:
:snore:
Thanks Susan - I'll need them!I will be saying prayers for you at that time. Good luck with everything.
Pretty much, but this is just the state dept of ed, so just substitute Providence in there and you've got it!'We know more about your kids while sitting here in Washington D.C. than you do.'
How's that? :lookaroun

What kind of gets me, and I'll never be able to say this in an interview, but dispite all the technology our kids are exposed to now, they're still kids. They're still developing, and they still have kid-size minds, and kid attention spans. We expect so much from them that is so unnecessary at such a youngage.Sorry about the facetiousness (sp?), I hope everything goes well.
Ooooo, good luck, Betty!!! I'll send prayers and "you go girl!"s your way :sohappy:9 AM
Yes. Ooodles of something and scads of another. :king:How was your day, Dumbo? Lots of... um... something or another?

So the state has decided the Grade level Expectations (GLE's) for all kids in the state. Can you say "cookie-cutter"?
Try algebra in fifth grade. :brick: I mean, I'm proud of her, but she stresses too much about it. I fear she'll be burnt out by college.
And on the flip side, there are parents that have their kids in activities where they are gone every night of the week, and that's just as wrong IMO. I mean, it's good to pursue other things, but there needs to be a limit too.
GLE's are actually a reult of NCLB, if that makes any sense....Where does 'No Child Left Behind' fit in there?
Even when I taught junior high, I refused to give homework on weekends, just because I stronly believe that kids really need family time. When my kids were in junior high they had 6 to 8 hours of homework, minimum , every night.IMO it is wrong also,
Family time is sooo important when the kids are young.
I hated senioritis. It was awful! I think it's even worse though when you have it college!
Okay, my camera is a Nikon Coolpix L4, I'm pretty sure I can't switch to manual setting, but I have a night portrait and a night landscape setting. And turning off the flash even though it's inside? Also, I'm assuming they still don't allow pics or video for Finding Nemo, the Musical?
As promised:
Hi, btw
So who thinks George & Dot are in tears right now? :lookaroun
