I was a total wreck today. I decided to do it. I liked the results but I was so afraid that my friends. . .and much worse, George. . .were all gonna hate it. But everyone loved it and I was so relieved.

It was so great!
After we got back from the hair place, I cooked up the corn for the barbecue we were having here, and Ken, Lauren and I went over to the picnic area where George and all our friends were. We had the best time! Perfect weather, amazing food and just a really wonderful time!

What did you do today?
We went up to visit my aunt in CT. I really should do that more often. She loaned me a picture of my greatgrandparents to put in my geneology thing, and she has some others she's going to try to find for me.

Wow! That's great.
You know. . .I spent a lot of time with my aunt and uncle and my dad before they passed away, because they needed care. But I wish I'd made the time to really talk to them about family stuff. There are so many questions now. . .and no one left to tell me.
....and I heard some excellent news today!
I told you about how my brother's MIL is undergoing chemo again because they found another spot. Her doctor told her the other day that they're not even sure if the second spot was cancerous, but it was quite tiny and they're not taking any chances, so her prognosis is much less dire than we originally thought!
Miracles do happen!!!

Oh that's so wonderful!
Miracles do indeed happen. . .every day.
I'm glad she got one of them.
She so deserves one! She lost her own daughter to cancer and has raised those 3 grandchildren ever since. She's had a rough life, but she never ever complains.

It seems like some people never get a break.
And it always seems to be the ones who just take it on the chin.
I'm not that good a person I don't think.
I know I'm not.
I try, but I get "cranky" on occasion....(Dave has another word for it I'm sure!)

Today was such a good day (besides the Mets). The HS football team won 12-7. And I got to hold my old history teacher's baby! I had him my sophmore year, and he is a football coach. His wife was at the game, and let me hold the baby. She is soooooo cute, and only 2 months old.

True. But the fun begins tomorrow.
Me too!! I even told his wife that I miss having a baby at home- my youngest sibling is 7. And she was just the sweetest little thing. Looks just like her daddy.
