Hi there
This is my first post and first thread, wow
I am wondering if anyone knows the cost of the sea raycer rentals at the moment. We will be there in august and have one day we are planning as a relax day, the sea raycers are going to be part of it.

I would also like to extend a welcome.
I'm new myself.
WM49rs gave you the goods which sums it up :)

I will be there in August myself for two weeks. We find that Bay Lake and 7 Seas Lagoon is the best for Sea-Raycer fun. Have fun!

Not to be negative here but last October my boyfriend and I rented the Searaycers and we did not have too much fun..the only reason for this was we expected the boats to go much fast then really go..we were in the wake zone where you have to drive pretty slow and it turns out that what I thought was the the wake speed was actually the maximum speed..now I'm not saying I was expecting them to go 60mph or anything but I'm pretty sure they tapped out at like 15mph if that..we even went back in before our time was up..after talking about we really wished we would of rented a pontoon boat and brought some lunch aboard and just relaxed.

We've rented the sea raycers twice and had a blast both times. We rented from the the Poly once (seven seas lagoon) and the second time we rented from Downtown Disney. Both were great locations, but seven seas lagoon is the winner.

They don't go very fast, but if you're not expecting a wave runner type experience you'll have a great time. Make sure you use the coupon that comes in your welcome packet!

I'm sure Disney has to keep the speed ability down because of the many, many irresponsible people who would be racing at high speeds, not paying attention about where they were going and unable to control their watercraft. How many potential accidents and lawsuits are avoided by limiting the speed on the waterways.
Whenever we have rented at Bay Lake we've enjoyed our time and have been pleased with the rentals.

As I found out in June, the weight of the users slows down the boat a lot. The weight limit is 320lbs total, which me and my fiance exceeded. I'm about 215, and she is about 135:lookaroun. If I was just a single driver, I'm sure it would go faster, or as fast as it should normally go.

It was a great time, something that I have never done, and definately Seven Seas Lagoon is the way to go. I also heard from the rental place at OKW, that the ones you can get at CR, Poly and GF are a bit faster then DTD and those resorts on the waterway to DTD.

Hubby and nephew did the raycers at POR. They had fun but didnt like how slow they were. So, the next morning they went on it at the GF and they said they were much faster. There was a much more open area there, too and they loved the scenery. Just my $.02.:)

the searaycers are fun if you get your own.

if two adults use one, it will go pretty slow. if you have kids, plan on having 1 adult ride with 1 child.

also, sit in the middle of the searaycer and the boat will go a tad bit faster.

the bay lake searaycers trump all others.
