SDMT Question

Is the mine train going to have fastpass/Next Gen?

Haven't seen anything announced, but many have pointed out that there is slated to be a Fastpass entrance. Plus, they are slapping Fastpass on a number of rides that don't need it in preparation for Fastpass+ so it seems likely that 7DMT would get it as well.

I know that Beast's Castle will not, therefore WDWBryan is incorrect in stating that all attractions will have fast pass. Now there are some that will argue that technically it is a dining location and not an attraction, but if Cinderella Castle is listed as an attraction, why wouldn't Beast's be as well? Let me know when you get a fastpass for Cinderella Castle.

Someone provides an answer to a question someone asked, and you proceed to nickel and dime the question to death and come off completely rude.

Okay, I'll play.

Casey Jr doesn't have a line, therefore would not be subject to FP or Nextgen. Same with Cindy's Castle. Beast's Castle is not even going to be classed as an "attraction" like Cindy's castle because you can't walk through it, and to take the point further, to eat there (at night at least) you'll need ADR's... The dining equivalent of a FP.

There. Better?

One can walk into Cinderella Castle and experience more than just the restaurant. While I am sure that one could just enter and look around during lunch hours, the Beast's Castle is really intended to be entered for only its purpose as a restaurant. Then add in the mentioned use of Cinderella Castle as the centerpiece of nighttime spectaculars and its visibility from all around the park, it is something much more than the new castles to the north.

My answer to this question (since I do not work for WDI nor do I pretend I have all the answers) is that every "coaster" on property has fastpass so one can assume so too will the mine train. In preperation for Next Gen, tons of new attractions are getting FP so it's an excellent chance. I believe I've even heard that some M&G locations will have it so slowly the definition of an attraction is changing. One could even say that technically, via ADRs, restaurants do have fastpass options and with Next Gen, attractions can have ADR-like reservations. Ultimately the line is slowly blurring so looking at what is true today will not necessarily predict what will be true tomorrow.

Sure.

I apologize if you think I came off rude, or if you thought that by me pointing out that in fact not all new fantasyland attractions will have fast pass was nickel and diming. I should've know better than to discuss something on a message board. Should I delete my account?

Beast's castle is about 170 feet shorter than Cinderella's Castle for starters. It's a dining location. Your point that Cinderella's Castle is listed an attraction is well taken though, it's not an attraction, it's a symbol for the park.

I'm sorry... Did I miss the value that you brought to the conversation by pointing out Beast's Castle and Casey Jr. won't have FP? I must have.

I would never suggest anyone delete their account. Were I to do that, there would be a line ahead of yours. But far be it from me to stand in your way, should you feel the need. It's a free country. Even in crazy old England, where the site is based. I believe. Just wanted to cover that technicality in case you decided to point it out to me.
