scrapbooking for end of nov and dec

please feel free to post any and all pages here. we all have gotten carried away with the holidays, and i know at least 4 of us are going to disney world, and disneyland. so between trip plannings and shopping, cooking and jobs, school, and just plain real life, i know i have not been around for awhile to keep on top of this.

so again, please feel free to continue to post what ever pages you have done, we are not going to post weekly challenges again during the holidays.

At the moment I am working on a 20 page layout for the grandparents for Christmas. It has to be done and the book ordered by midnight tomorrow, because there is a half price offer that I want to take advantage of! When I have finished I will post the layouts - I've done 14, only 6 more to go! I've got scrappers' block - I've run out of ideas, and I'm not happy with some of the layouts I've done already, but never mind!

Wow, good for you, Minnie! I'm sure the grandparents will love that. Even if you don't like all of your pages, I'm sure they will!

I have some Thanksgiving pages that I have done that I don't particularly care for that I will post tomorrow. I am actually all caught up with my pictures now. The next pictures I will have to scrap will be disney ones! :sohappy:

Ok, here's my pages that I just finished up that I don't really care for, but it doens't matter because I'm going to disneyland! :sohappy:

This one I just like because it's fun to see my hubby freeze himself trying to do this- and he loves when I post pictures of him so much. :lol:

The dreaded Thanksgiving pages, I don't know why Thanksgiving pages are so hard for me.

This is from my oldest's birthday. I won't post all the pages I did for it, but this one turned out ok.

Thanks, minnie! Sometimes I get in a funk about my pages and think they are too similar or look boring. I'm always much harder on my stuff than I am on anyone else's. I think it's just human nature.

Thanks for the comments! I've just looked through them, and I've noticed lots of little mistakes, lots of drop shadows left off etc! I was hurrying to finish on time and didn't notice! That's so annoying!

once i get back from disney, i am going to do a couple of books to give also. and i am sure i will be back to look thru these threads to scraplift!


i hope we all have some disney pictures to still scrap or soon will! after the holidays, we are going to hit the scraping and disney will be back into the thick of it.

Yes, eagles, that is an ice skating rink my hubby is attempting to put up in the backyard. It still doesn't have ice in it yet because the ground wasn't level and all the water pooled on one side and didn't fill up on the rest. However it is really snowing today, so I thought maybe with all the snow on the rink we could just put the water over the snow which will hopefully help spread the water more evenly and then it will just freeze over the snow. It's a theory but we'll see if it works out yet.

It's funny the rink in the backyard is a big hockey thing. Roddy started playing last year and some of the kids on his team did it, so now my hubby wanted to do it. The guys get around and discuss ways to build a better rink. It's really quite cute. They get more excited about it than the kids. Although my girls are really looking forward to being able to use their new figure skates. I may even get out there if we ever can get ice on it. The neighbors can't wait to laugh at me. :lol:

So instead of doing the million and one things that I have to do before our trip, I have been catching up on my mom's book. I just did her thanksgiving pages and I think I like her pages more than mine. They seem really simple but I like the paper better and think they look better. So I thought I would post a different take on my thanksgiving pages.

One thing that I am proud of about my mom's book is that I made it entirely using paper scraps from my paper bins. You know the paper that I just can't throw away because I may use it again somewhere, but I never seem to get around to using. I'm really thrilled with my thriftyness. :lol:
