Scottish Independence

That's exactly why I was bringing it up. I was wondering if there is any Irish merch or nods because if there is then still including the same for Scotland would be expected even after independence.

I already know for sure that the pavilion highly features Guinness, a brand that originated in Dublin, and due to the relationship of the cultures on the isles I could see them still including nods to the ROI even if the name of the pavilion is technically "United Kingdom".

I wouldn't worry about it too much right now. Even if they vote to separate, it isn't instantaneously. There has to be a transition period with a transfer of power, a government formed, taxes levied, currency established and official, (highly British") pomp and circumstance ceremonies. Without a war, I see at least 5 years in transition.

I believe the plan is 26th March 2016 if the McFuhrer and his stormtroops of intimidation win.

And a 85% turnout, a record for ballot questions like this for them. What was it 45% favored breaking away?

So, in the event of the breaking up of the United Kingdom what do you think will happen to the UK Pavilion in Epcot? Granted, nothing about it screams Scotland anyway so I feel it will simply be renamed England. Thoughts?

Somehow I think Wales might object to the UK suddenly becoming just England.... but since the Scots decided they wanted to remain under the control of London, it's now a moot point.

But in reality, if the UK had lost 1/3 of its territory with Scottish independence, could it still be the UK? And more importantly, Balmoral and Holyrood would be in a foreign country. I'm sure the Scots would love handing THAT tax bill to the Queen.

Quite frankly, to have an Irish presence in the UK pavilion just irks the 1/2 Irish part of me. Let's just wash 400 years of occupation by the British under the rug.... That my grandparents' homeland achieved independence 3 years before my grandmother's youngest son (my father) was born still astounds me.

Northern Ireland and Wales would still have been united in a single kingdom with England, the full title of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland just would not have been so accurate.

Given the size of Scotland compared to Wales (and the larger economy) and the continued hope that the Republic of Ireland will reunite with Ulster Province (we know as Northern Ireland), England did have something to worry about.... There is an independence movement, albeit much smaller, in Wales since devolution in 2011.
