Sci Fi Dine in is awful? Do tell...

I've only ever had a burger there and it was pretty good (it was on par with say Planet Hollywood in DTD). It's more expensive than a quick service restaurant, but you're getting a great atmosphere to dine in. Go and enjoy!
50's Prime Time Cafe is another restaurant that gets bad reviews for its food in DHS, but I also think is a lot of fun.

I've dined there many times. The only dishes I have tried are the burgers and pasta (once to be different). If I am at a nostalgic drive in place, I'm sticking to the burgers. A burger and a milk shake goes along with the atmosphere. The milkshakes also rock. The burgers are definitely not the same as the usual QS. If they are, the chef there is amazing.

We have eaten there multiple times. Atmosphere (Drive-in, Wait-staff on skates, "Car" shaped booths) makes it worth the trip. Food is so-so, service is moderate. We have enjoyed it everytime given that we have modest expectations. Not a signature place but fun nonetheless.

Here's the thing. I don't enjoy the Tower of Terror because it's such a big thrill ride. I know that it's a basic drop ride. The theme and implementation are what make it such a fantastic journey.

It's the same principle with this restaurant. The food is pure mediocrity, but the atmosphere makes it a worthy venture.

I guess it depends what you order. We went there a few years ago and I had the ribs...."blah"...shoud have stuck to a sandwich or a burger. As everyone has said, the atmosphere is cool, although I did find the cars to be a bit small (the table part more than the seating part). Probably won't go back again, but it's worth doing at least once.

For atmosphere Sci-fi gets a 10. The set up is just too cool for words.

For food it get about a 6-7. The food is not inedible by any means, but there is nothing all that great. It is about on par with a quick service location in terms of food quality.

I agree with this. I had pasta of some sort and it was pretty good, but not outstanding. My husband had a burger and swears it's the best thing he's ever tasted! Overall I'd give Sci-Fi an 8/10 and we do visit every time we're on property!

I thought the burgers were great. For comparison, I would compare the burgers to something I might get at Fuddruckers.

Atmosphere is great, but I will make one minor point: my boys were 8 and 6 at the time of our last trip and not used to movies/tv beyond kid fare. We were highly surprised that our boys were horrified and terrified by the cheesy '50s B-movie trailers displayed during the meal. Some friends have said that they have more cartoons now. I thought the choices were not scary (50 Ft. Woman, some other bad special effect movies) personally.

I've ate there twice and it's not bad for what it is. The atmosphere is cool and I don't know if they still do this, but sometimes your server will give kids in your party "official drivers licenses."

Food is fine. I ordered a burger which tasted like your average bar and grill type restaurant burger. I remember the second time I went (which was like 10 years ago) they seemed to be experimenting with the dinner menu and were offering fancier entrees. (I remember really just wanting a burger but having to order pot roast instead which just didn't seem right based on the theming).

The only downside is that although sitting in the cars are cool, each row in the car only fits like two people and instead of facing each other you are essentially eating facing the back of someones head.
