This is true... Actually, Fantasia was supposed to be a constantly changing piece of work... but alas... that never happened :( I am glad though that they did do Fantasia 2000... :) Made me a happy camper :)

PIXAR is already working on 5 more films for Disney (only 2 of which are "officially announced")...the contract was crafty...so the sequals didnt count...

however..even if they DID..it would be quite beneficial for PIXAR to extend the deal with the mouse ;)

If the movie is exceptional (i.e. Fantasia, ToyStory) I could see a sequel. But, honestly did we need another Pocahontas or Cinderella. I can't wait for The Black Cauldron II : The Return of the Pig. Actually I will contradict myself in my own post. If the movie is a classic or an instant classic they should leave it alone because with very few exceptions the sequel is always worse than the original....Aladdin,Hunchback,Rescuers.....

I could be wrong... but a few years back, when i worked at a Disney Store in Chicago (I'm in Florida now) I heard that there was a Peter Pan being done DTVS. Was the Return to Neverland supposed to be DTVS, or was it always supposed to be a crappy theatrical release?

I heard that it was going to be a DTV but was then changed to be a theater release since it was higher quality. Excuse me for a second. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAH! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! When I saw the preview I wondered why they just didn't do that anyway, it's just as good as the others. A sequel that should be released in My opinion, is one like the Rescuers Down Under (which has one of the best animated sequences i think (the eagle pushing cody down the river)) or Fantasia 2000, or Toy Story 2.

Hey,
Let's not forget the Toy Story 2 was pretty good...

Lets see...

Finding Nemo
The Invincibles
Cars

Thats the three that Pixar is doing for Disney.

I had always heard that Pixar would move on after Disney (think of how much Disney limits them). ILM, I think, was in talks with Pixar.

Disney limits them? could have fooled me ;)

When i did my internship there, you wouldnt even know that Disney was involved in ANY way. Pixar doesnt do project EXCLUSIVLY for disney, they also develop software and on the rare occasion do commercials and other various smaller projects for other people.

ILM uses renderman (the software developed by pixar)..thats where their "relation" ends ;)
