Sanaa - who's going?

With the help of a confused cast member, I made a 5/6 ADR for Sanaa today. She initially couldn't find it in the system, but once she did, we had no trouble, even though I'm not a DVC member. We were initally going to do Boma, but it's all booked up. Since we didn't want to do a 2 credit meal at Jiko, we're looking forward to the new place - hopefully it's not too much of a gamble!

Anyone else have ADRs yet?
Seen anything more than the thread here that had photos of the food?

We have a reservation for 5/5. Not 100% sure the wife will like it, but decided since we are on the DDP, we will give it a shot.

Yep, we're in the same boat there. We like AK Lodge, and we needed some place to eat dinner at DAK extra magic hours - seemed convenient.

It is not a signature restaurant.... at least I have not read anything on anysite indicating such. To be honest, based on the menu, I find it hard to imagine it would be two table service credits.

What menu?

Looking at the handful of photos of dishes floating around, it does seem fairly classy, but it's hard to make judgements on the # of credits based on pictures or a general description of cuisine unless you see the prices.

I think the photos of the food and the brief description of the cuisine make it pretty clear that the emphasis is on Indian food with an African flair. This makes sense for the lodge as Indian cuisine has in fact fused with African in many areas of Africa. If you like Indian food and tandoori prepared foods like we do, I think Sanaa will be a welcome addition to our dining opportunities.

I would note the photos indicate a menu that is not spicy hot and i have never seen tandoori meats that were not red in color. Maybe they will have "heat" options. I don't know what that sauce is on the tandoori meats either. Usually tandoori meats are served with fried onions and lime.
