I was just about to book a dinner ressie for San Angel Inn until I glanced at the menu. I have not eaten here in ages but this new menu is horrific and expensive. Do they still serve traditional mexican fare (burritos, tacos, nachos) and its hidden on every menu I am coming across? Also, they used to have this delicious fried ice cream desert - is that no longer offered? If no - this menu is terrible.

Wow that is quite a change from what I had last time we were there. It all still sounds good to me, but if you're looking for tacos and stuff I'd save a little money and just do the Cantina, it seems more like what you're looking for!

We had a huge group dinner there a few weeks ago (teachers celebrating the end of the year by drinking around the world lol) so we had a prix fix menu which was either the mole poblano or pollo a las rajas. Most everyone opted for the latter and it was ok. But for the prices, meh. My family always eats there for lunch, save a few bucks, and we love it!

Does San Angel have mole?
Doesn't sound very appetizing.

What the San Angel Inn serves is traditional Mexican fare. If you want street food, the Cantina de San Angel is probably a better bet.
Agreed. I think most people are more accustomed to Tex-Mex then traditional Mexican. Looking forward to our trip to Phoenix prior to DL this August. Some real good Mexican food there! :) I have to say, I enjoy both San Angel and La Hacienda de San Angel for their different options.

I haven't been to San Angel Inn, for a good 10 years ago, and did not enjoy it at all. With so many terrific places to eat on Disney property, I was always afraid to go back
We have been there pretty often in the past five years and the only thing I dont like is the number of shirts I ruin by being a messy eater . Plus, there is a large margarita menu!!!

I am not a fan of the new Cantina. I used to always get the nachos before illuminations but the new and improved nachos are more expensive for less product. Same with the tacos. I guess we will just go to a Mexican place on I4.
