San Angel Inn Updates?

San Angel Inn is the BEST/WORST restaurant on property...

Best for atmosphere

Worst for food.


The food is awful, and wayyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced!! Such a shame for this restaurant which used to be so good.

I completely agree with you. Can't figure out WHY it's so hard to get the food right. And the service???? What's up with that? I know vacationers can be major pain in the patoot, but if you can't stand the customers, don't work there.

I've ate in most of the restarants in WDW and this was the only one I would never eat in again. The food was terrible, I'd rather go to Taco Bell.

So I called WDW-DINE yesterday (May 2) and the reservation person was very adamant that San Angel was going to be open on May 17th for lunch. I asked four times. I've never tried this, Marrakesh, Four Dragons or Bistro de Paris, but wanted to knock another one out this trip. Has the refurb schedule changed for San Angel?

We were there in November, and I had the Filete de los Tres Chiles, and I thought it was delicious.

My son had something burrito-ish, lol, I can't remember, but it was also quite good.

My other two kids and my wife didn't fare as well.

But I did love my Filete.

With the atmosphere they have there, second to none, I say, if they work a bit on the menu, it's a slam dunk. Looking forward to minor touches and food improvements.....crossing my fingers, hope to be there in October!

It's scheduled to rehab this month...any news on what that entails??

Me too! I love it and hope it's not changed too much but I'm also excited to see what changes are made.

Ok so San Angel Inn closes for rehab this Sunday May 10.

Any word on what is scheduled to happen? Never heard what it is yet. Thanks!!

I just want to know if I am still eating lunch there next Sunday...somebody please tell me if it has closed or not...
