Good Morning Disney People, Just read today's Disney food blog, and their review on the above restaurant. The overall verdict was a big thumbs up and I must admit the pictures of the food looked very appealing. So now Iam turning my attention to all of you good food gourmets.Have you had a meal here recently? If so how did you rate it.

Ate there for the first time in 2010!

Love the ambience of the restaurant as the Mexican pavillion is one of my faves but everything we had was pretty terrible bar my blood orange margarita :D I really enjoyed nothing i was served and everything tasted as if it was zapped in a microwave! After that i stuck with just going into La Cava!

Now last year the menu, and how tables are laid out changed and some say it has vastly improved, so i will possibly try again sometime in the future but i may try La Hacienda first!

No
have been there several times and never had a bad experience (other than ruining a white shirt with my dinner on our last trip :hammer:) will absolutely do it again, but on our summer trip, we have la hacienda booked. I agree, the setting is one of the best dining experiences in epcot, and all of WDW for that matter. I would never skip a restaurant if I hadn't been there yet just because it had some past poor reviews. If you think you might like it, then try it. If you aren't happy, then stay away. enjoy!

Very first time my wife and I ate there in 1995 it was wonderful. The service was top notch -- the waiter was an older gentleman who took pride in his job, made the queso fundido tableside, and made the experience great. When we ate there in December 2011, the ambiance was still great but the food was blah, and the waiter rushed through dinner like he was working at a fast food diner. Won't be going back for a long time. Unfortunately I think the management company that runs all the San Angels -- Inn, Hacienda, and cantina really need to get their act together, as it some of the poorest customer service on property, which is a real shame as they're some of the nicest food locations.

We ate there for the first time last October on our Disneymoon. Love love loved it. It has such a great atmosphere and the food was great. I got the chicken enchiladas and the wife had a chicken dish was some type of cream sauce. I would upload the pictures but they are on the camera at home. :hammer: The desserts are pretty good too. I had the apple crepe and she had the chocolate dipped churros. We loved the experience and already booked ADRs for our upcoming trip. Never hurts that they provide free chips and salsa. :slurp:

Ate there June 2011, and enjoyed the food and the service. It's not the typical Mexican food that you get in the US, but more along the lines of what you would get if you went to a nice restaurant in MExico City. I would say try it. It's dark in there, though!

I can't say I have been there recently but I didn't care for it but my DH loves it there. He keeps asking to go back and i'm stalling. I'm running out of excuses.

Love it -- eat there at least once per year, and the reality is, I haven't seen ANY kind of change for the better or for the worse at San Angel, it's always pretty much the same.

This February they did have a few new items on the menu.

My only gripe about it is how dark it is inside -- I literally can't read the menu there without pulling out my iPhone and putting it on flashlight setting. They were supposedly going to pump up the light brightness, but I have't seen any change there either. Study the menu outside before you get seated, since you won't be able to see the menu inside....
