Yeah, have you not realized most of the stories like this are written to get people to read it. Makes sense. It gets more subscriptions making you more money so why wouldnt you do it if you was a exec in a newspaper company?

Um, because the news media is supposed to be based on the need to inform people of pertinent news stories that are based on:

  • Freedom of information

  • Relevance

  • The public's welfare
We are a fame and fortune driven society, hence the shoddy journalistic standards and the endless need to profit from tragedy through lawsuits, books, and reality shows. (Walks away from lectern...)

The only reason this guy is doing this is because Disney is the big fish that he's trying to catch. Notice how he doesn't make mention of any of smaller theme parks? Same thing with Sea World. He only singles them out because it was such a big news topic.

He makes me want to vomit. :hurl:

No, the Sentinel only played up the references to Disney and Sea World because those were the references that pertained to Orlando. Other places were mentioned if you read the story closely.

Yes, but why read when you can sensationalize?

Maybe all this sensationalistic reporting will give Disney the idea of offering on-property insurance as a Magic Your Way option? LOL For the low low price of $50 a day, you can be covered against all Disney transportation related accidents at 80% (after your $2000 deductible).
