Sad News: Three-year-old drowns at Art of Animation Pool

Per the Sentinel....

A Seven A three-year-old child drowned Tuesday in a pool at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The child was found shortly after 8 p.m. The child was pronounced dead at a hospital, deputies said.

According to deputies, the child visiting from out-of-town was somehow separated from his parents. After a search, the child was found underwater.

Other details were not immediately available.

Edit: The Sentinel corrected an error in the age of the victim, as reflected above.

It was about 2-3 years ago at Pop Century. Similar incident though (the incident actually is what led to Disney now closing down main pools after certain times at night and fencing them).

No details of what happened beyond the drowning were published.

My son hates when we're over protective and watch him in these situations. I couldn't bear to lose him and am at a real loss of words for this child's family.
