I am extremely heartbroken to say that I miscarried our 7 week old baby this week. This is a very hard time, but we are trying to move forward and stay positive for ourselves and our 2 yr. old DD.
I had posted on here a few weeks ago about a trip we were planning and bringing along our newest addition, and my husband and I have decided to keep the trip planning going, as it is a bright spot and gives us something to look forward to. We are hopeful that perhaps there will still be a new addition we can bring along, and even if there isn't, it is a special time with our little girl and a much needed vacation.
We are planning Nov. 2013, which is still a ways away. I always hesitate w/ trip insurance b/c I think it's extra money I don't want to spend on 'what ifs'. The only trip I ever booked without it though was the one I had to cancel, and we lost only our deposit and got the rest back. Since it is a ways away, I was concerned about if we needed to reschedule our trip. The only reason we would reschedule is if I was lucky enough to be pregnant again and too far along to travel, or if we were lucky enough to have another child who was a little too little to go away at the moment. We wouldn't cancel completely, just postpone probably for a couple of months.
My question is, with the circumstances above, should we get the insurance or skip it? We are anxious to book soon so we have something positive and fun to focus on as a family. Thanks for your time.
