our vacation started great. But I have seen some very sad things. It amazes me how extemely rude people still are. We have 4 kids and in no way do I think people should get out of my way. Flying down I had two kids kicking any pounding their fists in their tray on the plane. U think their mom, who was sitting beside them would say anything to them. Nope. Then we get to the bus stop we were the only people there. By the time the bus got there & loaded we were the only people not to get on the bus. Let's just say I was just tag upset. It just amazes me how rude & inconsideract people are. Their have been several other times this type of things happened. No real big problems with Disney but the guests are the disappointment

I'm sorry to hear this, these things can totally ruin a trip especially when you have paid so much to have a "magical" vacation and people just don't know how to act in public. I hope that things went better as your trip progressed and that you had some beautiful moments during your vacation.:)

I find that while I am on vacation I let things roll off my back more. If we miss a bus, it's more time to relax my feet, if little ones are out of control I think my god they are as excited as I am to be on vacation. If I see a stressed out and short tempered adult I thank god it's not me. I am on vacation and noone will ruin it. Last year we were waiting for the boat at DTD and an older couple was getting really heated about waiting maybe 10 minutes in for the boat. The CM at the boat dock, was about ready to get a whipping from the man when I say the CM totally turn it around and change the subject, got the man talking about something else and saved all of us the stress of hearing this man freak out. It was a genius way to handle it. I took the idea home with me and used it at work for months. Till someone caught on. :goodnevil Don't let anyone or anything come between you and your vacation.

Ugh! That happened to us constantly when we stayed at Coronado Springs. It was so infuriating. This was one of the only trips we opted for bus service instead of having our own vehicle, and wow...people are SO rude. I started making loud, angry comments so the people shoving in front of us could hear, and they didn't care. I really wish they'd put queue lines up at those bus stops.

No argument here....and with these guests, it is amazing that CM's can keep up as much of the magic as they do. They have to deal with the rudeness, entitlement and disrespect every day....:(

Remember....tourists leave their brains at the airport....

You even give them credit for having it at the airport? I haven't been to that airport in a while...:dazzle:

That almost happened to a man who was getting the strollers on the bus. There was a huge group of brazilions so I saved the two seats between my friend and I and his family so they didn't get split up.

I try and be extra nice when I'm on my Disney vacations.
It makes up a little for the rudeness of others and lets people know that there are some people left in this world who are nice enough to care about others.
Some of my favorite things to do at WDW are:
1) Help those who are confused or lost
2) Let small children in front of me to watch fireworks/parades
3) Point out the best attractions to newcomers.

I also give out Castmember award cards to Castmembers who have been extra friendly, helpful, or put on a great show. They are just business cards with golden trophys on them that say "Outstanding Castmember Award" and "Thanks for making our Disney Vacation a little more magical!" Not much I realize, but hopefully, it makes the castmembers feel appreciated for all the hard work they do.

This was our number one complaint about CSR. We saw a major fight Christmas Morning on our way to an early breakfast. Two grown men decking it out...really set the mood for Christmas morning for those families. I don't know why they don't put up some type of lines even if they are the temp. ones only for busy times of the day or season.

As for out of control kids...we too have noticed a sort of "do what makes you happy" attitude esp. at airports. Perhaps the parents are so worn out from getting to the airports early and the kids just don't have enough to occupy their time. We drove last time and plan on driving next time as well. Takes longer, but it is stress free for our family.

That's ironic...

...we fly because we find that all the crazy drivers on the road stress us out.

I run into my share of just impatient people at the parks. we get a kick out of imitating them and it makes us and the people around us laugh since they are all usually annoyed at the complainers as well. The one thing i can not stand is watching a cast membet get yelled at by someone who does not understand the way things work. I always go to that cast member afterwords and say something like "man who peed in his cornflakes this morning?" and they really appreciate the laugh

speaking of awards i remember there was a site that sold WWWD what would walt do pins and you could give them to cast members and post your comments about them on the site. That was a pretty cool idea as well with the little cards too. and its cheaper!

If you see a guy being incredibly rude, jusy say loud enough to be heard "Geez, glad I'm not that guy. It'd take all my will not to put the gun in my mouth every day." Really, what can they do? Even if they get offended, you say "Look, I was just saying I felt SORRY for you! To be so miserable that you have to be obnoxious in Disney World? Your life must be ATROCIOUS! I'm merely counting my blessings! You obviously have things to do! Go do them, you sad sad man!"

And if you see a woman being obnoxious, just say "it's ok, pregnant women don't know what they're doing half the time." I know it's a sexist thing to say, and certainly not something I avctually think, but it IS the sort of thing that takes the wind out of most women's sails, especially if they're NOT [pregnant, if not at that moment, then later, when they think about how awful they are.

What's with the passive-aggresive stuff? Just say something! If someone is being rude, you can say something as an adult. If someone skips me in line, I say something. Not aggresively, not trying to get into a fight, just calling out the inappropriate action. Sometimes the person will just ignore you or say something smart back...OK then, go ahead and be an ______. At least you tried.

This is why people keep doing things...no one calls them out. Grumbling under your breath or saying something sarcastic is just as bad in my opinion as the offender's original action.

We are all adults, and you would be surprised how apologetic some will get when called out in front of a bunch of strangers. I want to knock these people out, believe me but you can't let them ruin your vacation. That's my take...

(i'm 6'6" and 300 lbs so people do tend to listen to me, but my wife is tiny and she does the same thing and we have never had a problem)

The reason people are like this is because they get away with it. Do what I do, call them out. tell them how rude they are and make sure everyone around you here's you. You don't have to be mean or violent just let them know what they did and ask them how they would like it:mad::mad::mad:.

After that whole teacup line incident im starting to get apprehensive about actually some people out. Some people pretend not to understand you like they have no concept of english at all. Others are just typical jerks. So far none have ever been apologetic, they knew exactly what they were doing.

Flying down I had a kid kicking my seat behind me. The mother said nothing. After an hour or so I could not take it and I can't recall what I said but the boy did not move after that.
